JuicyChat Review: A Clever Thought Bubble Wrapped in a Coin Shop

My verdict: the Thought Bubble is the one idea here worth paying to see, and almost everything around it is built to sell coins. The economy is the most gamified of any app checked for this guide so far: a daily 7-day check-in ladder, daily tasks, achievements, an invite ladder, gift codes dropped on Discord, welcome coupons granted automatically, and two currencies, JuicyCoins for use and JuicyGems for creator content with a revenue share. It is an arcade with a chat window in the middle.

The model menu is huge, from frontier models such as GLM and DeepSeek priced per message in coins with member discounts, up to "Max" models with 128K to 1M context on Diamond. I'd treat the whole thing like a bar with a good house band and an expensive tab: go for the band, and watch the tab.

A third-party JuicyChat AI review scores it 7.2/10 and names annual Premium as the best value for moderate users. I think that score is fair for the chat and too kind to the billing.

The first week belonged to the Thought Bubble and a barista character whose inner voice panicked while her spoken voice stayed cool. That week was the best of the app, and it is the part I'd still recommend. The rest was a slow slide from story to shop.

The ending was a bank app, a figure of $31 in coins and a subscription that suddenly looked like the cheap part. Three weeks is short for an app that started this well, and that gap is the real verdict.

That was 2024. The site check on 24 September 2026 covered the web version, signed in on the free tier.

The terms and policies, the payment processors and the creator event come from an earlier check made without signing in on 23 September 2026. So the prices and coin costs in this review are the ones the site itself shows today, not figures borrowed from other reviews.

I think readers deserve that split up front. The story is from early 2024, the facts about today come from the site as it stands, and where the two disagree I say so and give both.

After the age modal, an "I'm Interested in" picker offers Female, Male or All. It is a sensible first question for a feed this crowded.

Four ways in

Sign-in options include Google, Apple, Discord and Yandex. Yandex is the odd name on that list for a site with an English front page, and I read it as a sign that the audience is wider than the landing page suggests. There is also a "Login with ID and password" option for people who want no social account attached.

Users can also continue with e-mail, using a magic link or a code. The e-mail route has no password at all. I like that on a site like this: one less password to leak, and the inbox is yours to choose.

Browsing needs no account, but sending a message requires signing in. A visitor meets the wall at the first message, not at the front door. I think that is the fair way round, because it lets people judge the library before they hand over an e-mail address.

The new account

A new account gets an auto-generated name made of "User#" and a 10-digit ID. It reads like a parcel tracking number, which on a site like this is a feature. I'd keep it rather than type a real name into the profile.

Profile shortcut tiles lead to Pricing, Bonus, Pocket, Wallet and Coupons. Count them: most of the five tiles are about money. The first screen after sign-up is less a living room than a lobby with a cashier at every door.

The gear menu has My Blocks, Share, About Account, Delete All Recent Chat and Sign out. Delete All Recent Chat is the button I'd want on day one, and I'm glad it sits in plain sight. Signing up today, I'd take the e-mail route with an inbox kept for apps like this, and I'd read the price section below before typing the first message.

Signed in, the home page has rotating banners: "The Secret Society", "Juicy Origins Collection" and "Beyond the Ordinary". Under them sit the tabs Characters, Events (HOT) and Photos. The navigation adds Leaderboard, Events and Photos tabs, Discover, Favorites, Notifications, Generate Images and Generate Videos, and a Create button marked NEW.

Sorting the pile

Home filters are Popular, Recent, Trending, Immersive, New, Following, Editor Choice and gender. A big tag row runs across the home page as well. Those are decent tools, and Editor Choice is the one I'd reach for first, since a human pick beats a click count.

The feed itself is openly adult and heavy on taboo themes, with step-family set-ups among the most visible titles. I won't repeat the titles; they are written to shock, and they do. Anyone expecting a friendly companion app with a few spicy corners should know the ratio runs the other way here.

How I'd use it

My advice is to use the filters and the tag row to rule things out as much as to find them. Then read the greeting before starting a chat, since greetings are public and cost nothing. A greeting is a character's audition tape: if it is lazy, the next hour will be too.

The anime lean was obvious from the start, and a grumpy retired firefighter is not the kind of character the builder seemed to expect. That is exactly why the evening disappeared. The builder gave me enough depth to make him grumpy in a specific way rather than a generic way, and that is the difference between a character and a costume.

Character creation is part of the free basic service, and there is a dedicated bot-creation guide. I think that is the right call. The builder is the best free thing on the site, and it is where you learn whether the app suits you before any money moves.

Personas and scenes

The chat toolbar has a Persona Card and a Scene selector. Persona Cards and Scene Cards are separate card types in the catalogue. In plain terms, one card says who you are in the story and the other says where it happens.

All membership tiers include free use of creators' persona cards. I'd set up a persona before the first chat with any serious character, because a bot that knows who you are writes better scenes than one guessing from your first line.

How creators get paid

The creator scene is strong: leaderboards, certification, events with prize pools, and a Donate button. Bots that reach 1,000 conversations earn "Gem" rewards, a revenue share for their creators. Creators receive a share of the JuicyGems spent on their content.

Featured creators get monthly tags, and creators advertise their SubscribeStar pages.

A public leaderboard ranks creators and characters, with 30-day trending and all-time views. The creator ranking runs on 30-day engagement, and the top creator has about 3.06M chats. That is a real audience, and it explains why the front page feels like a talent show: creators are competing for it.

The current event

The creator event "Beyond the Ordinary" runs from 10 Sep to 9 Oct 2026. Any valid public entry earns 200 coins. The headline says top entries win up to 40,000 coins.

The prize table reads differently. The top entry wins 20,000 coins, places 2 to 5 win 10,000 coins each, and places 6 to 10 win 5,000 coins each. The 40,000 comes from four "Opportunity Award" categories, with 25 winners in total, each paying 40,000 coins plus featured placement.

A side award that pays twice the first prize is a sentence I read twice. The event page also shows "Estimated Event Prize Pool 14226.03" with no currency stated. That figure does not square with prizes counted in tens of thousands of coins, and nothing on the page says whether it means dollars, coins or something else.

I'd enter for fun and ignore the maths.

The first great moment came with my barista character. She said "Oh, you again, great" out loud, and the bubble said "(he remembered my name, act cool, ACT COOL)." I laughed so hard I nearly knocked my coffee onto my editing keyboard, and Moose left the room.

When the bubble became a caption

Eventually I noticed the bubble sometimes contradicts itself, or rather its own point: "I'm totally calm" in the thought, "I'm totally calm" in the speech. At that point it's just a caption.

For an editor, that is the moment the illusion breaks. Subtitles that repeat the dialogue add nothing, and a thought track that repeats the speech is the same thing with a cloud drawn around it. Once the seams showed, the feature that had carried my first week felt more like a template than a mind.

A third-party review describes the Thought Bubble as a live meter of the character's desire level and emotional state plus her inner monologue, and calls it unique among the apps that reviewer tested. That description is richer than a monologue alone.

The chat controls listed on 24 September 2026, though, run to Start New Chat, Chat Settings, Character Detail, Save Memories, View Memories, Donate, likes, favourites and shares, with no bubble among them. So its status today is unconfirmed, and I'd look for it before paying for anything.

The chat has Help Me Reply and suggested-reply chips. A "Feed back" link sits under each reply.

The chat shows the disclaimer "Everything AI says is made up! Please follow your local laws." Help Me Reply leaves me with mixed feelings: on a tired night it keeps a scene moving, and on a good night it is the app writing both sides of the conversation.

A short chat on 24 September 2026 ran with the community bot "Fantasy RPG", which has 140.6k chats. The bot is set in the land of "Allegro", which has four races. The chat ran on the default model "JuicyLLM Lemon Lush – SFW – 8K".

The opening scene put the new arrival at a snowy inn, and the bot took it from there. The chat ran to 3 messages, one of them an out-of-character question about details given earlier. Speed was fine: replies arrived within about 10 seconds.

The first nudge on opening the chat is a "Need help replying? … Try it Free" popup for the Help Me Reply feature. It arrives before the conversation has started, which is like a waiter offering to finish your sentence.

The replies were gritty and atmospheric, opening with "The biting wind howls through the cracks of the wooden inn…" and a note that strangers in Allegro's southern human territories are often seen as threats. A second character, an armoured man, then chimed in with a rumour about something circling the peaks and a dry remark about maps that lead where nobody should go. That is a bot that builds a world and populates it without being asked, which is exactly what a sandbox character should do.

The FAQ also mentions a "Mango Tango" model and "16K models". The model names and descriptions are the site's own labels and were not verified. A fruit name tells you nothing about how a model writes; the number after it tells you how much of the story it can hold, and that is the number worth reading.

Reviewers report that chat quality differs between the "basic" and "pro" models, both selectable per message, and that the basic model gets repetitive and flat in long sessions. That fits the menu: the free default has the smallest context on offer. If long stories matter to you, the model menu matters more than the character card.

Storylines and group scenes

All membership tiers include storyline branching. That is a good feature for anyone who likes to play a scene two ways, the way I'd cut two versions of an ending for a client who can't decide.

Multi-character roleplay lets a user interact with several AI companions at the same time. Group scenes are where a small context window shows its limits first, so I'd pair them with the biggest model a plan allows.

My take on the chat

When the bubble worked, the chat had a personality that plain replies never had, and that is why I stayed past the first week. When it slipped into repeating the dialogue, it was a caption, and the app underneath felt ordinary. Today's short chat shows the plain engine is fast and good at scenery, so I'd judge any trial on the bubble first, if it is still there, and on the model menu second.

In the short chat on 24 September 2026, the memory check passed in character: the bartender repeated back the name and profession given earlier and added that he had heard it loud and clear. That is a pass on a small test, and a pleasant one, since the bot stayed in the scene instead of breaking into assistant voice.

All membership tiers keep memory reserved during the membership. Read that sentence twice: the promise is tied to paying, and nothing in it covers what happens after a plan ends.

Reviewers report that "Smart Memory" handles short-term recall but is inconsistent over weeks-long storylines. Some Trustpilot users say memory lasts "five, maybe ten minutes". A few messages is not weeks, so the short pass above and those reports do not contradict each other.

Put together, memory on JuicyChat is a paid and partly manual feature. Keep a short summary of your story outside the app, the way a script supervisor keeps continuity notes, and save memories after every scene that matters.

A bad prop I can forgive, since props get swapped on real shoots too. Light is the mood of a shot, and golden hour turned into noon is like a wedding film graded for a tax office. The cactus was a continuity error; the lighting was a wrong brief.

The image generator today

Media is all-in-one: in-chat image and video generation, voice, Figure and Figure-to-Video, photo albums, image sets, and storyline branching. Logged out, visitors can see the image generator and video generator interfaces. The image generator offers 15 named models, for example Obsession Absinthe, Plum Wine, Momo Bellini and Manhattan Noir.

It has CFG, steps and a negative prompt. It makes 1, 4 or 8 images per run and offers 5 aspect ratios, and there is a Figure Remix mode. That is a proper control panel: CFG and steps are the knobs of a real image model, and a negative prompt is the only polite way to tell a model "no cactus".

The image generator has R18, Mature, "Adult Proportions" and "Adult Face" tag groups. I read those last two as guard rails built into the menu, and I'm glad they exist.

What members get

All membership tiers include batch image generation and advanced image settings. All tiers also unlock the adult photos in the 5M+ Photo Album and add NSFW quick prompts. The membership perks list an enhanced NSFW video generator on every tier except Premium.

I'd start every session with a simple portrait, since that is what the generator does well, and treat anything with a background as a gamble.

Video

Video generation needs a "Figure" plus a required Action. Background and Outfit are optional, and the output ratio is 3:4 or 9:16. "Custom Prompt" in the video generator is labelled "Pro Feature".

Reviewers report that video generation is rough and early-beta: it works but adds little. Both ratios are vertical, which tells you the target: phone screens and short loops. Choosing an action from a menu is closer to puppetry than film-making, and for the coin price covered below I'd leave video alone.

Reviewers report that the voice bank of four voices is shared by all characters, so a cold character and a flirty one sound the same. The chat toolbar has "REC." (voice), "Ask Video", Video and Voice buttons.

All membership tiers include unlimited member voice. They also include a separate voice collection, sold under a flirty marketing label.

Neither perk says how many voices there are now. Unlimited access to four voices would still be four voices, and more minutes do not fix casting, so voice is the part of JuicyChat I'd test hardest before paying.

That timing is the real review of the free plan I had. A day and a half is enough to see whether a character's voice clicks, and not enough to see whether it holds. The cap landed right where my curiosity was starting, which I suspect was the point.

A number inside a picture can't be searched or quoted, and it is the one number every free user wants.

The profile shows the Free Plan with balances for JuicyCoins and JuicyGems; the new free account showed 50 JuicyCoins and 0 JuicyGems. The coin balance was still 50 after 3 messages: the chat did not visibly deduct coins on the free standard model, though the model card says "2 Per Message".

So the cap that stopped me in 2024 did not show up in a short chat on 24 September 2026, and the listed price did not either. Three messages is too few to find a daily limit, so I'd read that as "no charge seen yet" rather than "free forever".

The free plan has no NSFW chat, per a third-party review checked on 20 September 2026. That matches what I found in 2024. Pro models are still out of reach on free, while images are now a matter of coins rather than a flat no.

Ads and coins

"Earn Free Coins by Watching Ads" (+30, +30, +50) is only available in the app. All membership tiers remove the ads in the app.

On the web, a third-party ad card for lustgf.ai, a sister or partner site, appears in the character grid. An internal pricing ad also appears in the feed.

An ad for another companion site sitting among the characters is a strange neighbour, like a diner that hands you the menu of the place across the road.

Who free is for

Free is a showroom with a coin jar. Browse the library, read greetings, build a character and send a handful of messages to see whether the chat does anything for you. If it does, one paid month is the real test; if it doesn't, the free tier has already told you what you needed.

The gap between those two prices is $31 a month. Keep that figure in mind, because it comes back in the section on cancelling.

Where today's prices come from

Prices are in USD and were seen logged in at /pricing and /bonus on 24 September 2026. The Membership page (/pricing) opens the sign-in modal or redirects home for logged-out visitors. So the prices below are the shop's own tags, but the shop only shows them once you have an account.

Premium

Premium costs $12.99 a month, shown as "30% off" from $18.56. That is the same $12.99 I paid in 2024, so the entry price has held still for two and a half years; only the crossed-out figure is new. Premium costs $93.99 a year, shown as "58% off" from $222.69, with a bonus of 6,000 coins.

Deluxe

Deluxe is labelled "Popular". It costs $43.99 a month, shown as "50% off" from $87.98 ($1.46 a day). That is the same $43.99 the app pushed at me in 2024.

Deluxe costs $319.99 a year, shown as "70% off" from $1,055.76 ($0.87 a day), with a bonus of 30,000 coins. It includes 30,000 coins a month, and JuicyLLM chat is unlimited and free. It unlocks Pro LLM models with up to 64K memory.

Diamond

Diamond is labelled "Value". It costs $88.99 a month, shown as "50% off" from $177.98 ($2.96 a day). It costs $788.99 a year, shown as "63% off" from $2,135.76, with a bonus of 70,000 coins.

Diamond includes 70,000 coins a month and unlocks Max LLM models with up to 1M memory. It allows 20 concurrent chats and a maximum message length of 650. It allows 200 persona cards and 100 pins.

Diamond annual adds +500 JuicyGems. A third-party record adds that Diamond includes unlimited messages, the highest coin allocation, custom model training and beta access. At that price I'd want a public roadmap before paying for "beta access".

What every plan adds

All membership tiers include a member avatar frame. Annual plans add a one-month bonus of permanent coins. The avatar frame is the kind of perk that belongs on a loyalty card, not on a price list.

How the plans behave

Upgrades apply immediately, and downgrades aren't possible. An Annual plan can be upgraded to a higher Annual plan. A Monthly plan can be upgraded to the same or a higher Annual plan.

No downgrades plus annual-only upgrades means every step up is one-way and a year long. In my trade, that is a client contract where you can add shots but never cut them.

Paying

Checkout offers a CheckOut button and an Other Payments button. The checkout is labelled "Safe & Secure Payments". The processors seen on 23 September 2026 are card via a Stripe-style checkout, PayPal, crypto via NOWPayments, and several processors of the kind that serve high-risk merchants.

Payment methods include bank cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cryptocurrencies and local options in some regions. A long list of processors is what a site builds when no single one can be relied on. I'd check the name on the payment screen before confirming.

Is the step up worth it?

For most people, no. Premium carries the entry to everything, and 6,000 coins a month is a real allowance at 30 coins a photo. Deluxe makes sense only if you chat a lot on the house model, since that becomes unlimited, or if video is the reason you came.

Today the Store sells JuicyCoin packs as the "never expire" kind. The policies say monthly benefits don't roll over. Read together, bought coins now stay and plan coins still vanish at the billing date, which is a clearer rule than the one I met in 2024.

The video I didn't make

I asked for one short video clip, saw it cost roughly ten times a photo, and decided my imagination is free. I make video for a living; I know what a render costs.

Today a photo costs 30 coins and a video costs 300 coins. The ratio has not moved: still ten photos for one clip. And 300 coins is exactly the pile I lost overnight, so in today's money I lost one video I never made.

What coins cost in dollars

The Store (/bonus) opens the sign-in modal or redirects home for logged-out visitors. Its tabs are Buy Coins, Earn Coins and Custom Decoration (NEW). Signed in, the packs run as follows:

Gems

JuicyGems are for creator premium content.

30 JuicyGems cost $3, 100 cost $10, 500 cost $50 and 1,000 cost $100. Gems can be exchanged for coins: 30 Gems give 600 coins, and 300 Gems give 6,000 coins. Coins cannot be exchanged for Gems.

That one-way door is the design in a nutshell. Money can flow from the creator wallet to the house wallet, never back.

Where coins go

Per the FAQ, JuicyCoins are used for chatting, generating pictures, unlocking pictures, generating voice, drawing prizes and exchanging props. In the consumption table, 1 message costs about 1 coin and 1 pro message about 2 coins. Unlocking a prompt costs 10 coins, unlocking a Photo Album 100 coins, and Album Pro 5 coins.

Loading a creator's persona card costs 30 coins, and unlocking one costs 100 coins. Response guidance costs 1 coin.

Model prices per message are shown in coins as full price / member price. The Pro model GLM-5.2 64K costs 36 coins per message, 18 for members. The Pro model DeepSeek-V4-Pro 64K costs 76 coins per message, 20 for members.

The Pro model labelled "Sonnet 5 64K" costs 96 coins per message, 48 for members. The one labelled "Sonnet 4.6 64K" costs 136 coins per message, 68 for members. So a "pro message at about 2 coins" exists only in the table.

At the top, the Max model labelled "Fable 5.1 – 128K" costs 652 coins per message, 326 for members. The Max model labelled "Opus 5 – 128K" costs 384 coins per message, 192 for members. The Max model GLM-5.2 128K costs 48 coins per message, 24 for members.

Do the maths out loud and it gets silly. A $4.99 pack of 1,000 coins buys one full-price message on the most expensive model, with change. Premium's 6,000 monthly coins cover about 18 messages at that model's member price, which is a month of chat that fits on a postcard.

The popup has a "Gotcha! Don't remind me in 7 days" option. I'd tick that box on day one and claim the coins only on days I'm there anyway.

At 30 coins a photo, a full week of check-ins buys just over a dozen pictures. That is the diner punch card: worth collecting if you are there anyway, and not worth a daily visit on its own.

Tasks, badges and achievements

Daily tasks pay +10 coins each: send 10 messages, chat with 3 characters, follow a creator, generate an image. The home page shows a progress chip "0/10 Send 10 messages". Consecutive-login badges are called "Chain Champ", "Daily Dominator" and "Immortal Login".

Cumulative achievements pay coin rewards of up to 20,000×2. The Messages achievement counts messages sent, and the Image Generation achievement counts images generated. The Memories achievement counts likes and favourites on shared memories, and there is an Invite Friends achievement.

Both expire on 30 Sep 2026 at 23:59 UTC.

The first gives 50% off JuicyCoins, valid on the 3K and 10K coin packs. The second gives 5% off a membership, valid on the Premium, Deluxe and Diamond annual plans. Half off a coin pack is a real discount; five percent off a year is a nudge toward the year.

The coupon wallet filters by All, Membership, JuicyCoins and JuicyGems. Its "Exchange" button opens "Redeem Discount Coupons – Please enter the discount coupon code".

The field for JuicyChat AI gift codes sits at Store → Earn Coins: "Enter your giftcode to receive the gift!" It adds: "Join Discord for updates and exclusive gift code drops." Codes that live on a chat server reward the people who hang around the chat server, which is the point.

Invites

A new user who enters a friend's invitation code within 24 hours of registering gets +30 JuicyCoins. Each account's own invite code is shown on the invitation page. Referral rewards are 30 coins for 1 invite, 50 for 3, 80 for 5, 200 for 10 and 500 for 30, with badges.

Thirty friends for 500 coins is less than two videos. I'd keep friends out of it.

The countdown

The header shows countdown badges such as "70% OFF". Next to the badge runs a countdown timer, which showed 00:00:00:00 to a logged-out visitor. A timer stuck at zero that still sells a discount is the flea-market "last day" sign that has been up since spring.

The model list includes SFW-labelled and NSFW models. On 23 September 2026 the default model for a logged-out visitor was "Passion Fruit NSFW 8K". A day later, the signed-in free chat ran on an SFW-labelled model, so the default seems to depend on who is asking.

SFW characters "strictly limit sensitive words". In the chat checked on 24 September 2026, one suggested-reply chip carried a sexual label. Suggested replies are the app speaking for you, and I'd want them to follow the character's rating.

What the rules ban

The written rules are longer and stricter than the front page suggests, and they are worth reading in full. Any content involving minors is banned, even when it is SFW. The ban also covers characters dressed up as "legal" and characters who are not grown-ups in their source material, whatever a description claims.

I think that is the right rule, and it is written plainly enough that nobody can claim they misread it. Parent characters are banned unless their sons and daughters are stated to be grown-ups.

Anything sexual involving animals is banned. Scenes where a character does not consent are banned. Consent-play between adults, a separate category in the rules, is allowed.

Self-harm content is banned. Excessive violence is banned. Miscarriage and abortion content is banned, and so is hate content.

How the rules meet the feed

Bot images that go over the line get "limited display" rather than removal. That is a visibility rule, not a ban, and I'd call it a soft touch.

The front page is dominated by step-family, cheating and consent-play bots whose characters carry stated grown-up ages. That tells you how enforcement works here: rules are checked against labels. State the age, keep the images inside the lines, and a bot can sit at the top of the front page on a theme that many mainstream apps would not host.

How strict it feels

What the pages show is a site that trusts the adult user by default and keeps its hard lines for a short list of serious harms. If that balance suits you, the rules are clearer than most; if you want a gentler default, look elsewhere.

The Terms also contain references to California and Missouri alongside Malta. Claims must be brought within 1 year. Two American states and a misplaced county in one Maltese contract is the legal version of a continuity error, like an actor whose shirt changes colour between shots.

The legal pages also include a 2257 exemption page, a Complaint Policy, a Payment Disclaimer and Community Guidelines at wiki.juicychat.ai. The service is for adults only.

Refunds

A refund must be requested within 24 hours of payment. It is denied if any feature has been used, including chat, images, voice or coins. Refund requests go through Discord.

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 days. Refunds for only part of a purchase are not supported.

Put together, that is close to no refunds. You have one day, and the first message you send ends the right, which makes it a gift card you can return only if you never unwrap it.

Your data

Chats are private unless published. The privacy policy lists using "User Content" to provide chats, for content screening, for analytics and for service improvement. It mentions Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager remarketing.

The privacy policy also mentions third-party ad partners. Do Not Track is not supported. No clear statement was found on whether chats are used to train models.

Data is kept "as long as reasonably necessary". Personal information is also kept for as long as the law requires. Neither phrase gives a number, and a retention rule with no number is a rule the company writes for itself.

A third-party reviewer calls the privacy policy "partially opaque" and found no clearly indexed first-party privacy page, despite the platform's claims of encryption and an optional auto-delete mode. I'd agree with the word opaque. "Private" here means private from other users, not from the company, which reads your content for screening and analytics.

Who owns what

The service's Content is owned or licensed by JuicyChat. Users may copy "the text from your own chats with characters you created". Users are prohibited from scraping the site's content.

Users are also prohibited from using the site's content for AI training. Note the asymmetry: the site forbids training on its content and says nothing clear about training on yours.

I'd read the copy right narrowly. It covers chats with characters you built, so a favourite conversation with someone else's public bot is not clearly yours to keep. Rented is the right word for most of this contract: the site owns the house, sets the rules and keeps the key.

The third says: "The standard models have delays due to high usage. Upgrade to get faster responses and better memory." Replies arrived quickly all the same, so the banner reads more like a sales line than a status report.

Popups stack up: the daily check-in on load, the "Surprise!" coupon popup in the Store, "Need help replying?" in chat, and two upgrade banners under every chat. Each one is small. Together they are a shop assistant who follows you down every aisle.

Anchor prices are very high, for example "$1,055.76 → $319.99". A crossed-out price that nobody has ever paid is set dressing, and I'd ignore it completely.

Bugs and dead ends

One follow-up message stayed in the input box and had to be re-sent. The About Account view could not be opened from the profile gear menu on 24 September 2026. That second one matters, because account deletion runs through that screen.

Changing the chat model requires signing in. The "Get Plan" button opens the sign-in modal for logged-out visitors. On its own that is normal; together with the hidden prices, it means you create the account before you learn the cost.

Payments and support

Per the FAQ, a payment can fail because of region restrictions or a VPN. People who keep a VPN running all the time should expect a failed payment or two.

Support is reached at [email protected] and through Discord tickets. Refunds and cancellations go through Discord tickets. Billing help in a chat server is my least favourite pattern in this category, because a refund request deserves a paper trail and a chat server is a noisy bar.

Merch before a status page

A merch store, "JUICY FRÜITIE MerchShop", runs at juicyfruitie.com. A "MoMo's Merch Drop!" notification promotes it. A banner announces "Juicy Origins Collection – First Drop Pre-Orders Officially Launched".

No public status page was found, with no status subdomain among the certificates issued for the domain. No public developer API was found; there is only a Discord developer-support channel. A merch shop before a status page is a studio with a gift shop and no fire exit signs.

The phone apps

An Android app badge ("Download App") is in the sidebar footer. A PWA manifest exists on the domain. The iOS bundle id in the site's own apple-app-site-association file (ai.juicyChat.www.xy) returned zero results from Apple's lookup API across 8 storefronts, so the store listings are not independently verified.

I'd treat JuicyChat as a website you can pin to a home screen. I'd also be wary of any store app with the name until the site links to it directly.

Small things

The home page title reads "NSFW Character AI Chat - JuicyChat.AI". The site interface is offered in 17 languages. JuicyChat is also known as JuicyChat.AI and JuicyChatAI, which is worth knowing when searching a bank statement or a forum for complaints.

It is not for SFW users, since the adult feed is on by default. It is not for people who dislike casino-like economies: two currencies, coin sinks, and "drawing prizes" per the FAQ.

It is not for budget users who want high-end models, which cost up to 652 coins per message. It is not for refund seekers, since the window is 24 hours and only if nothing was used.

It is not for anyone confused by the very high "was" prices, such as $2,135.76 a year crossed out. It is not for people who want to see prices before signing up, since prices are hidden behind login.

Then I did the maths I should have done earlier. $31 on top of the $12.99 Premium comes to $43.99, which is the monthly price of the Deluxe plan the app had been nudging me toward.

So in money terms I paid the Deluxe price anyway, just in coins. The plan from that first-week nudge had arrived through the side door, one small pack at a time, which is exactly how coin shops are built to work.

How cancelling works today

Monthly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. Annual plans are a one-time payment. The membership perks promise "Cancel anytime".

Cancelling is done at Profile → Manage Subscription. It can also be done through a Discord ticket. After cancelling, access lasts until the end of the billing cycle.

A 2026-08-18 third-party review calls cancelling through account settings before the renewal date straightforward, with no hidden steps. App Store subscriptions are cancelled in the Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Cancel Subscription. I'd use the Profile route and take a screenshot of the confirmation, since the Discord route leaves a thinner trail.

The privacy policy says to e-mail [email protected] to close an account. Unused coins are not refunded if the account is deleted.

So the order is: cancel, let the cycle end, spend or write off the coins, then delete. With the About Account screen misbehaving, I'd keep the e-mail route as a backup.

On the bank statement

Charges show up as "juicychat.ai" on bank statements, not a discreet alias. That is fine for people who keep a subscription spreadsheet and awkward for anyone who shares a card. If discretion matters, JuicyChat offers none on the bank side, so plan for that before the first payment.

Before you pay

• Put the renewal date in a calendar the day you subscribe.
• Spend plan coins before each billing date, since monthly benefits reset.
• Decide on a coin budget up front and treat it as part of the plan price.
• Remember that a refund is only possible within a day and only if nothing was used.

The subscription itself was never the problem for me; the coins around it were. Treat the plan price as the entry fee and the coin shop as the bar tab, and set the limit before the first drink.

I'd judge that month on the Thought Bubble first, if it is still there. If the bubble adds something to the scenes, annual Premium is the value pick; if it is gone or mostly repeats the dialogue, judge the plain chat on its own merits.

Coins need a budget before the first pack, not after. Decide the amount, treat it as part of the plan price and stop when it is gone. Before running any Pro or Max model, read its per-message price on the model card, because the difference between the cheapest and the dearest is the difference between a snack and a steak dinner.

Claim the welcome coupons before they lapse if you were going to buy anyway, and ignore them if you weren't. Spend plan coins before every billing date. Put the renewal date in a calendar on day one, since the refund window closes the moment you use anything.

For images, stick to simple portraits and skip scene prompts and video. For long stories, save memories after every scene that matters and keep a short summary outside the app.

The free tier is mixed: generous with coins and chores, thin on models, and its daily limit is published only as a picture. Value for money is weak, because the entry plan is fair but coins, frontier-model prices and inflated "was" prices do the real billing.

Images and voice are weak. Portraits are fine, scenes fall apart, video is rough and a small shared voice bank made different characters sound alike.

Privacy and terms are weak on data use and sloppy on law, with no clear word on training. Cancelling and billing are mixed: cancelling is simple, refunds are nearly impossible and the statement is not discreet. Content settings are mixed as well: clear written rules, adult defaults and a one-click age check.

Length of stay is the most honest score there is. JuicyChat lasted three weeks, the shortest of the five; Nomi AI and Character AI lasted months, and the other two sit at five and six weeks. I'd read that as a simple ranking of which apps kept earning their bill.

Where it is worse is the money around the chat. Annual Premium works out at $7.83 a month, which looks competitive in the table, but the coin shop, the model price list and the resetting plan coins turn that into a different number. I'd add a coin budget to JuicyChat's figure before comparing them.

Everything around that idea is built to move coins. The ladders, coupons, badges and model price list are all in plain view now, which is more honest than a hidden price tag, but plain view is not the same as fair. The policies are where the honesty lives, and the storefront is where the salesmanship lives.

So my advice is the advice I'd give about any bar with a great band. Go for the band, set a limit before the first round, and leave while the music is still good, before the tab starts writing the review for you.
