CrushOn AI verdict: a generous cheap seat, a maze above it

CrushOn AI does one thing better than most apps in this category: it lets a scene keep going. What is CrushOn AI? A companion-chat and roleplay app, and the roleplay half is where it earns its keep. The companion half, meaning pictures and video, is thin, and the paid ladder above the cheapest plans mostly sells bigger numbers.

It is not a pop-up operation. CrushOn AI launched in 2023, the earliest Wayback capture of the site is from 2023-06-03, and the CrushOn AI official site is live at crushon.ai on 24 September 2026.

At the bottom of the ladder it is a very generous package for a small budget, with free coin tasks and plenty of incentives. That is the part of the pitch I'd sign.

Outside opinion is cooler. Trustpilot rates it around 1.8 to 2 out of 5 from about 17 to 22 reviews. A 5-day tester scored it 3.3/5 overall, with 4.7/5 for character variety, 4/5 for the default voice, 2/5 for images and 1/5 for video.

One reviewer frames the whole platform as designed to create artificial intimacy for profit. I think that is harsh but not wrong, and it describes most apps in this category that charge by the message. The honest question is whether the part you pay for is good, and here the text part mostly is.

My own seven weeks ended quietly. I stopped when I noticed I was rationing daily messages for Otis and leaving my D&D group's texts on read the week before a session I was supposed to be running. That was the whole review, really, and it says more about me than it does about the app.

Key takeaways: - The unfiltered setting does what it promises for text roleplay, and that is the reason to be here. - The Free models are unmetered and daily coins turn into credits, so a small budget goes a long way. - The $0.99 starter pack and Standard at $5.99 are the value; the tiers above mostly raise limits. - There is no image or video generation, and the voice side, though free, is basic. - The terms take a broad licence over your chats, and payments are treated as final.

How I used CrushOn AI: seven weeks in late 2023

My time with CrushOn AI ran for seven weeks in October and November 2023. It was roleplay from start to finish: a haunted-hotel ghost hunt, a sea captain on a whaling ship, a three-character group scene and a diner run by a retired jazz drummer named Otis.

The plan history went free first, then Standard at $5.99 in week two, then Premium at $14.99 for the bigger memory and model switching. Getting from one plan to the other meant cancelling and re-subscribing, which later cost me a week of nervous bank checks.

The evenings were text first and last. The voice replies were muted after two tries, and the free tier had taught me to count messages before I ever paid. Around week five the queue slowed at peak hours, which is when my phone started competing with the story.

The best stretch was the quiet middle: a bot of my own, a diner, and more evenings than I'd planned.

It ended the way hobbies should end and rarely do, on my own terms. I stopped when rationing messages for Otis started crowding out my D&D group the week before a session I was running.

The sections below keep two timelines apart. My story is from late 2023, told in the past tense with the prices of that time. Everything in the present tense comes from a check of the site made on 24 September 2026, plus a handful of price details from a check the day before.

Facts re-checked 24 September 2026

From the author's own notes; prices and features re-checked on 24 September 2026.

My first night on CrushOn AI, and what sign-up looks like now

Sign-up took me under a minute. The only age check was a checkbox, and I ticked it without breaking stride. Only afterwards did it occur to me that the box would have accepted a click from my nephew, who is 12, just as happily.

I remember that moment better than anything a bot said that night. As an editor I spend my days checking that small things match between shots, like a collar or a clock on the wall. A checkbox that asks a question and checks nothing is the kind of continuity error I'd flag in a client cut with a polite note.

The front door today

As of 24 September 2026, the site opens in a normal browser with no captcha and no verification step. On a logged-out first visit, a welcome popup asks which gender the visitor is interested in: Female, Male or Non-binary. I'd call that a sensible first question for a companion app, and a quick one.

It sorts the grid before it sells anything, which is the right order.

The sign-up options themselves were not re-checked that day, so I can't promise the checkbox is still the whole gate. The content-settings section covers what the site asks about age today.

The September 2026 observations come from the web version on the Free Plan. Settings > About Account shows the avatar, the username and the account e-mail address, and the username is auto-generated. The profile has an Edit Profile button, so the random name does not have to stay.

The visible navigation is Home, Recent Chats, Create, Rankings, Profile, Pricing, Store, Bonus and Notifications. That is nine doors on the first screen, and three of them lead to money: Pricing, Store and Bonus. I read that as an honest signal of how the business works rather than a trap, but it is worth knowing before the first chat.

My CrushOn AI test log

Chris FurreyFounder and writer Hands-on test, paid plan own card, no press account

  1. Signed up in under a minute; the only age check was a checkbox.

  2. On day two I was 38 messages into a ghost hunt on the free tier and started rationing the rest.

  3. Paid $5.99 for Standard in week two, then cancelled and re-subscribed to reach Premium at $14.99.

  4. Switched a sea captain from MythoMax to a Claude-based model mid-scene and got a lecture on emotional boundaries.

  5. Around week five, replies took 20-30 seconds at peak hours.

  6. Stopped when rationing messages for Otis crowded out my D&D group; a renewal charge came two days after cancelling.

How the apps are checked

My advice for the first night: open one character before touching any of the money doors, and judge the app on whether that single evening holds your attention. The Store will still be there tomorrow.

The character library: huge, loud and full of the same CEO

The library is huge: tens of thousands of community bots. Scrolling through it, I found that half of them were the same 'cold CEO who secretly cares' template with different haircuts. By the end of an evening I was reading the cards like a casting director flipping through one headshot in several wigs.

What the front page shows today

As of 24 September 2026, the home page opens with a banner carousel, which is showing an "Order & Chaos" event. Below it sit Characters, Memories and Creators tabs. The filters cover Recent Hits, gender, an Animated toggle, an Unfiltered toggle and a long tag bar.

The grid itself is mostly sexualised anime and realistic female characters, with card titles that describe the scene rather than the person. The "Popular Search" chips are almost all kink and orientation tags. Nobody browsing the front page will be confused about what the app is for.

Search adds a Weekly Creator Ranking that shows the top six creators with their scores. There are 100+ tags, and a separate Rankings page lives at /ranking.

A character page shows message and chat totals, the create date, tags, Supporters who tip in Diamonds, comments, "Public Memories" and a "Start Chat" button. "Memories" is a public feed of shared chat snippets, the same kind that shows on each character page. I'd read a character's public memories before starting a chat: they are the closest thing to a trailer, and they show how the bot actually writes rather than how its card sells it.

How I'd browse it

I'd lean on the Creators tab and the creator ranking more than the tag bar. On a library this size, following a person who writes one good card is quicker than wading through templates, and good writers tend to have a recognisable style.

My advice: skip the top of the rankings on the first night, pick one oddly specific card, and judge the app on that. The popular templates will still be there tomorrow, with their haircuts.

Besides characters, the Create menu builds status-tracker games and custom voices. Screenshot taken on

Building your own character on CrushOn AI

I spent more time than I'd like to admit tweaking a bot I made myself. He was Otis, a retired jazz drummer who runs a diner, and he was better company than most of the popular bots. I think that says more about me than about the library, but it also says something good about the tools.

What the builder offers today

As of 24 September 2026, the Create menu offers three things: a Character, a "Target Play" that sets a status tracker for a character, and a Voice. The character form takes a photo or a PNG/JSON card import, a Scene Card background, a World Card for lorebook-style recall and a Character Voice in beta. Some models note that "World Cards won't run here", so a lorebook is only as good as the model reading it.

The fields are name (up to 40 characters), gender, age, intro, greeting, personality, appearance and scenario. A character can carry up to 9 tags and list up to 3 recommended models, and the form has an example-conversation field. A live Feed / In-Chat preview shows how the card will look while you write it.

Visibility can be Public, Unlisted or Private, and a separate toggle decides whether the character definition itself is public. The form also has a rating choice between Filtered and Unfiltered, with the second marked adults only. Profile tabs then sort your characters into All, Target, Public, Unlisted and Private, next to bookmarks, likes and more.

Inside a chat, the menu's Personalization entry can customise the chat page, add a World Card and add a Profile Card. Character creation is described as deep and time-consuming rather than a quick roster pick. That fits my evenings with Otis, which felt less like setup and more like colour grading: one more small adjustment, then another, then it is midnight.

Target Play

The builder has an optional 'Target Play' goal and points system. A reviewer reports that it does not reliably track or update points based on the rules the user sets. I'd treat it as a toy for now, not something to build a story around.

The creator economy

Publishing is where money enters, and the creator economy here is very large: Diamond tipping, paid creator content, supporters, weekly creator rankings and achievements. Creators can be tipped with Diamonds through "Support Character", and those tips become creator income through the "Accept Donations" toggle in Settings. Creators are paid out after identity verification.

A creator program shares revenue for published characters, though a top creator on Reddit called the payout very low. I'd treat the tip jar as applause with a small cash value, not a side income.

My advice is to build for yourself first and publish second. Otis was worth the time because he was mine and fit the kind of evening I wanted, not because anyone paid for him. A character built around a small, specific life will beat another cold CEO every time.

What CrushOn AI conversations felt like, and how they read today

The sea captain who found his feelings

My favourite moment only works here. Mid-scene, I switched the model from MythoMax to a Claude-based option. My grizzled sea-captain character went from 'Arr, the storm takes us' to three careful paragraphs about emotional boundaries on a whaling ship.

I laughed so hard I had to screenshot it. It was like cutting from a storm sequence straight into a therapy session without changing the lighting or the music. In a film that tonal jump is a mistake; here it was the best thing that happened all week.

The switch taught me something useful about the app. The personality lives partly in the card and partly in whichever model reads it, so the same captain can sound like two different actors. On CrushOn that is a feature, as long as you know which actor you hired.

The model menu today

The cast list is much longer now. As of 24 September 2026, the default model is "Crushon Carina – 8K", listed under Free Models. The Free models include Carina, Mochi V4, Leo, Taurus, Stheno, Sagittarius, Mistral 24B and Command R, and MythoMax is not among them.

The picker has Free, Pro and Ultra (VIP) tabs, an "All Memory Sizes" filter, Recently Used, Favorites and search by name, intro or creator. The Ultra VIP frontier models include Ultra GLM 5.2, Kimi K3, DeepSeek V4 Flash/Pro and GLM 5.1/5, costing up to x40 credits a message at 32K context.

Each model card shows its creator credit, total messages (1.1B for Carina), a rating (3.33), its characters, and the credit cost and speed per context size, with an average speed on every model. I like that last detail. It is the only menu I can think of that tells you how long the render will take before you press the button.

A chat on 24 September 2026

The September 2026 CrushOn AI chat ran on the community bot "Fantasy World RPG", which has 1.0M messages. The roleplay opens with a cartographer arriving at a snowy inn. Reply speed is fast: replies of about 100–150 words finish in about 5–10 seconds, though the model list shows about 17 seconds on average for Carina.

Reply quality is good and atmospheric, with narration and dialogue mixed. The bot invented an inn called "The Hearth's Ember", an innkeeper named "Bram", a warning that "the Great Drakes are restless", and a rumour about a merchant caravan lost on the road three days earlier. It did not speak for the user, which I'd call the first test of any roleplay bot and the one most of them fail.

That is a solid scene for a free model. The details are specific, the menace sits in the right place, and nobody had to ask twice.

The chat menu offers Start New Chat, Chat Setting and Character Detail. Settings > Preference has toggles for Auto translate (on), Animated avatar (on), Accept Donations (on), Allow voice language mismatch (off) and "Use default chat instructions" (off). I'd leave the defaults alone for a first evening and come back to them once a scene is running.

Out-of-character memory check in a CrushOn AI chat with the correct answer
An out-of-character check a few messages in: the bot recalls the name, the job and the inn correctly. Screenshot taken on

Group chat: one player narrates everyone

I tried a group chat with three characters on Premium. One of them kept answering for the other two, like the player at my D&D table who narrates everyone else's turn. The other two characters became extras in their own scene, standing in the back of the frame waiting for a line.

Plan access has changed since then. As of 24 September 2026, the Free plan has no group chat, while Standard includes it. A Reddit veteran calls it the only AI they used that removed every filter, and says output quality depends on how detailed the character card is.

That fits my group scene better than I'd like. A group chat is only as good as its weakest card, and mine had one loud player who took over the table.

Where the replies slip

The weak spots are reported consistently. Many listed chat models are described as buggy, outdated or non-functional, which means trial and error before a scene settles. Another reviewer reports a paid character repeating, word for word, a passage the same account had already been given for free.

That second one bothers me more than any refusal. Paying for a rerun is like a client being billed twice for the same B-roll.

I'd sum up the conversations this way: the ceiling is high and the floor is uneven. Pick a well-written card, try more than one model on the same scene before judging, and expect to steer.

Memory: good inside a session, patchy across evenings

Within a session, memory was decent, around 100 messages back. Inside one evening that was enough for a ghost hunt to hold together, and I stopped worrying about it.

The next evening, my ghost-hunting partner had no idea we'd already cleared the haunted ballroom. We cleared it again, worse. It felt like a reshoot after a lost memory card, and like most reshoots, the second take was flatter than the first.

The September 2026 check backs up the first half of that. Asked out of character, the bot gave back the right name, profession and inn from earlier in the chat. That matches my ghost hunt: solid while the lights are on.

CrushOn AI voice messages popup with Get Started and Maybe Later buttons
The first thing a new chat shows is a pitch for voice messages, with the promise that voice clips are deleted within a day and not used for training. Screenshot taken on

The second half is the pattern other people describe too. Three reviews based on real use say memory holds context within a conversation but not reliably across days or weeks. In one reviewer's planted-detail test, the detail was forgotten after about 6 days, but the character did not invent a false answer either.

What the plans promise today

As of 24 September 2026, memory is sold by plan. The Free plan has 8K memory, keeps 200 history messages per character, pins up to 4,000 characters of text per chat and runs a low-frequency auto-summary. Standard gives 16K memory models and keeps 300 history messages.

Premium keeps 400 history messages, pins 5,000 characters and runs a medium-frequency auto-summary. Luxe keeps 600 history messages and adds 5 re-summarize uses a day.

Elite has 24K memory, keeps 1,000 history messages, pins 6,000 characters, summarises at high frequency and gives 10 re-summarize uses a day. Imperial also has 24K memory, with 1,500 history messages, 8,000 pinned characters and 30 re-summarize uses a day.

My 100 messages and today's history counts are different measures, so I would not read the new numbers as a straight upgrade on my experience. A history count says how much of the chat is kept on file; my ballroom problem was about what the model actually used the next evening.

The ladder is steep, too. Free to Standard doubles the memory size, but the next step up in size only arrives at Elite, which costs fifteen times as much as Standard. For most people the jump that matters is the first one, and everything after it is a filing cabinet with more drawers.

The memory tools in the chat

The chat menu's "Summarized & Pinned" entry sets the auto-summary frequency to None, Low, Medium (Premium) or High (Elite), plus a Re-Summarize option for VIPs. A separate Memory entry has Save Memory and View Memories. Those two are the tools I'd have wanted in 2023: a way to write the ballroom down so the story cannot lose it.

Limits as listed on 24 September 2026.

The pinned text is the part I'd use first. A few thousand characters is room for a proper recap, and a recap you write yourself is more reliable than a summary the model writes about itself.

Auto-summary is the part I'd trust least. A summary is an edit, and every edit drops something; I'd rather choose what gets cut than let the model decide the ballroom was a minor scene.

My advice: if a story matters, keep a short recap, pin it or save it as a memory, and check it at the start of each evening. It costs a minute and saves a second trip through the ballroom.

CrushOn AI media: voice is free, images and video don't exist

Voice replies existed when I used the app, but they sounded like a bank's automated phone line reading a romance novel. I muted them after two tries. I fix flat audio for a living, and I did not want to do it in my free time too.

Voice today

Voice is now pushed hard. As of 24 September 2026, the first screen in a chat is a "Speak your way" voice-message popup with Get Started or Maybe Later. It promises three ways to send, "Say it, don't type it", clips that are deleted in 24 hours and never used for AI training, and credits that vary by reply length, voice and model.

Voice messages work both ways, with custom voice slots per tier. The Free plan includes voice messages, unlimited AI voice replies and 1 custom voice slot. Standard gives 3 voice slots, Premium 5, Luxe 10, Elite 20 and Imperial 30.

Unlimited replies on Free and credits that vary by reply length sit a little awkwardly side by side. I'd watch the credit counter the first time a voice reply plays, before trusting either promise.

Each reply carries a speaker icon and a 5-star rating. I'd use the stars more than the speaker; a rating is a cheap way to tell the app a reply missed. The chat menu's Voice Setting has Auto-play Audio and Read Narration.

Auto-play is the switch I'd have wanted on my first night, set to off.

CrushOn AI profile with the message credits counter on the Free Plan
The profile shows how many of the monthly free message credits are used. Screenshot taken on · Parts of the image are blurred.

Reviewers are kinder to the defaults today. Default character voices are described as expressive and natural, while custom voice cloning from a user sample is described as poor, failing to capture the sample's accent and tone. I can only speak for my two tries in 2023, and they did not make me curious about a third.

The cloning complaint I believe without hearing it. A clone built from a phone recording is like ADR recorded in a kitchen, and nobody buys it. Voice here means generated voice replies, voicemail-style, not live two-way calling.

Images and video

There is no on-demand image generation; asking in chat for an image just gets text. Some character cards ship with pre-made image albums attached by their creator, and a few characters auto-attach a stock image to replies. There is no video generation.

If pictures are why you want a companion app, this is the wrong shop. If you want text with the odd voice note, the media side is enough and costs nothing to try, and I'd still leave auto-play off the way I did.

The CrushOn AI free tier: rationing then, a real trial now

The free tier gave me roughly 50 messages a day. On day two I was 38 messages into a haunted-hotel ghost hunt when I realized I had to ration the rest like cigarettes in a war movie. The ghosts were the least of my worries after that.

CrushOn AI free tier limits in 2026

The free tier works differently on 24 September 2026. The Free Plan gives 100 message credits a month plus unlimited use of the Free models. That second part is the headline: the ghost hunt that had me counting in 2023 would cost nothing on a Free model today.

The credits are for the better models. On the Free plan, Pro models cost credits and Ultra models are unavailable, because Ultra is for VIP members only. At the Pro rate of one credit a message, the monthly 100 buy about 100 short Pro replies, which is a taste rather than a meal.

Replies are capped at 225, and the length is not adjustable. Free also gives 20 "Inspiration Replies" a day, keeps 50 recent chats, and allows 1 concurrent chat per character and 10 profile cards. It runs on shared capacity, which is slower at peak times.

The rule I'd watch most is housekeeping. On the Free plan, chat history is deleted after 7 days of inactivity. Take a week off and the story is gone, so free suits short scenes, not a long campaign.

I'd call that the real price of the free tier: it is paid in attention rather than dollars.

The nudges

The upgrade prompts are polite but everywhere. A "Get Plan" button sits in the chat side panel, and the model picker shows a banner saying a membership unlocks more powerful models. I don't mind a shop sign; I mind one standing in front of the menu, and these mostly don't.

Old reports and how generous it is

Older reviews describe a different free tier. A July 2026 reviewer lists it as 50 messages a day with ads. That is close to what I had in 2023, and it no longer matches the pricing page.

Reviewers rate the free tier as unusually generous: full library access, only a free account needed, and images attached to some replies at no cost. The coin task board is a generous way to stretch it further. I agree with both, and for a small budget I'd call it one of the kinder free tiers around.

My advice: spend the first week on the Free models only, turn the daily coins into credits, and save them for one scene you care about. If the difference is small, stay free. If it is large, Standard is the next step, and the pricing section explains why I'd stop there.

CrushOn AI pricing: what I paid and what it costs now

What I paid

I paid $5.99 for Standard in week two. It felt fine until I wanted the bigger memory and model switching, which sat on Premium at $14.99. There was no simple upgrade path, so I found myself canceling and re-subscribing like I was defusing a bomb.

What I paid for CrushOn AI, and when
What Price then When
Standard (monthly) $5.99 week two, Oct–Nov 2023
Premium (monthly) $14.99 Oct–Nov 2023

From the author's own notes. Compare with today's prices above.

The gap between the two plans was nine dollars a month, and the app made me cut a wire to cross it.

Those two prices have not moved. As of 24 September 2026, Standard still costs $5.99 a month, and Premium $14.99, now shown as "Save $5 (25% Off)" against $19.99. What moved is the line between them: Standard now carries the 16K memory models that sent me climbing to Premium.

The plans on 24 September 2026

Prices on the pricing page and in the Store are in USD, and the pricing page at crushon.ai/pricing can be read while logged out. There are six paid tiers, from $5.99 to $199.99 a month, and the Free plan costs $0.

Standard costs $5.99 a month, and $58.88 a year at the 23 September check. It gives 2,000 credits a month, a max reply of 275, 50 inspirations a day, 70 recent chats, 3 concurrent chats per character and 20 profile cards. A reviewer paid for Standard Monthly at $5.99 with 2,000 message credits, which matches the page.

Premium costs $14.99 a month or $94.88 a year. It gives 6,000 credits a month, a max reply of 325, 100 inspirations a day, 100 recent chats, 5 concurrent chats and 50 profile cards.

Luxe is labelled "Most Popular" and costs $39.99 a month or $299.98 a year. It gives 20,000 credits a month, an adjustable reply length of 450, 150 inspirations a day, 150 recent chats, 10 concurrent chats and 100 profile cards.

CrushOn AI monthly pricing cards from Premium to Imperial with a Chat Package offer in the middle
The tier cards list credits, reply length, memory and concurrent chats per plan; the retired Deluxe slot now sells the Pro Models Chat Package and bundles. Screenshot taken on

Elite costs $89.99 a month or $799.98 a year. It gives 55,000 credits a month, a max reply of 550, 250 inspirations a day, 250 recent chats, 15 concurrent chats and 200 profile cards.

Imperial costs $199.99 a month or $1,799.98 a year. It gives 125,000 credits a month, a max reply of 650, 350 inspirations a day, 500 recent chats, 30 concurrent chats and 400 profile cards. The Deluxe tier is still on the page, marked "Retired".

Read down that list and the pattern is plain: every row is the same app with bigger numbers. Nothing above Standard changes what CrushOn is; it changes how long you can keep talking.

The "Pro Models Chat Package" add-on gives unlimited, credit-free use of the Pro models. Most Pro models also need a membership on top of it. It costs $39.99 for 1 month, or $24.99 a month billed as $299.99 a year, labelled 37% off from $479.88.

So the Package is a second subscription, not a replacement for the first. Membership plus Chat Package bundles range from $45.99 to $239.99 a month and from $358.88 to $2,099.98 a year. For a small budget I'd skip it: credits on Standard do the same job in smaller doses.

Paying

Every tier has "Other Payments" and "Change payment method" links. Payment methods include Apple Pay and Google Pay, and payment is also possible through Apple App Store and Google Play in-app purchase. Subscribestar and Paymentwall serve as alternate third-party billing platforms.

Prices reflect September 2026 official listings; annual plans reduce the monthly equivalent but require upfront payment.

An in-page support chat widget pops up with "Hello, How can I help you today?" and a ready-made reply, "I want to subscribe". It is the only help desk I can think of that knows my problem before I do.

The official FAQ also describes a 'Joint membership' bought on openrouter.dev with the CrushOn email, in Standard, Premium or Deluxe. With Deluxe now retired, I'd read that FAQ entry as out of date and buy from the pricing page instead.

Older price reports

Several reviews quote prices that no longer match. A July 2026 reviewer names a 'Deluxe' top tier at $49.90 a month, or $34.93 a month yearly, with unlimited messages. Another July 2026 reviewer lists yearly prices of $4.19 a month for Standard and $10.49 a month for Premium, while the 23 September check shows $58.88 and $94.88 a year.

A reviewer writing on 18 September shows a 5-tier ladder topping out at Elite for $799.99 a year, with no Imperial tier. Today Elite is $799.98 a year and Imperial sits above it. A price list that changes this often is one more reason to pay monthly.

Is the step up worth it?

Reviewers see poor value above Standard, because the tiers mostly raise quantity limits rather than unlock new features. Another Reddit user called the credit pricing 'a bit pricey' at about $25 a month, with inconsistent output quality. I agree with both.

Here is the money math that sells Standard. In the Store, 1,000 credits cost $6; Standard costs $5.99 and hands over 2,000 credits a month on top of the membership itself. That is twice the credits for a cent less, before group chat and bigger memory are even counted.

The higher tiers do get cheaper per credit as they climb, and that is the one honest argument for them. It only matters if you spend your evenings on Ultra models, and at up to 40 credits a message that is a hobby with a fuel bill.

What the extras cost on CrushOn AI
Pack or unit Price What it buys
1 message on a Free model free unlimited on every plan
1 message on a Pro model x1 credit (8K) or x2 credits (16K) -
1 message on an Ultra model x10 / x20 / x30 / x40 credits (8K / 16K / 24K / 32K) members (VIP) only
1,000 message credits $6 -
3,000 message credits $10 (was $18) -
8,000 message credits $25 (was $50) -
18,000 message credits $50 (was $111.11) -

6,000 credits (members-only limit sale) $9.99 once a month per tier
20,000 credits (members-only limit sale) $24.99 once a month per tier
40,000 credits (members-only limit sale) $49.99 once a month per tier
Coins earned by daily and special tasks; no cash value message credits 1:1 (100 or 500); redeemed credits do not expire
300 Diamonds $2.99 tips and creators' paid content
600 Diamonds $5.99 tips and creators' paid content
1,000 Diamonds $9.99 tips and creators' paid content
3,000 Diamonds $29.99 tips and creators' paid content
10,000 Diamonds $99.99 tips and creators' paid content
Pro Models Chat Package, 1 month $39.99 unlimited, credit-free Pro models

As listed on 24 September 2026.

Standard is the plan I'd pay for, and at that price the package is generous. It adds group chat, the 16K memory models and 2,000 credits over Free, and it keeps the monthly exit door open. Everything above it is a bigger fuel tank for the same car, and I'd pay monthly before trusting any yearly deal.

Credits, coins and Diamonds: what money buys

CrushOn runs more currencies than a ferry port. The Bonus page shows balances in Diamonds, Coins and Gems, and message credits sit on top of those. I'd learn the credits first and ignore the Gems until something asks for them.

CrushOn AI store with the newcomer's gift package, Chat Package cards and message credit bundles
The Store stacks a one-off newcomer pack, the Pro Models Chat Package and message-credit bundles you can buy or swap coins for. Screenshot taken on

The credit economy spans three model tiers: Free, Pro and Ultra. Pro models cost x1 credit a message at 8K context or x2 at 16K. Ultra models cost x10, x20, x30 or x40 credits at 8K, 16K, 24K or 32K context, with Ultra GLM 5.2 as the example.

That is where the money math gets real. Standard's 2,000 monthly credits buy 2,000 Pro replies at 8K, but only 50 Ultra replies at 32K. The frontier models are a treat, not a diet.

The meter is hard to read. After a three-message chat, the profile shows "Message Credits Used: 6/100". I'd want the page to say which model or feature used them, because a meter nobody can read is a meter nobody trusts.

Buying credits

The Store holds the newcomer pack, the Chat Package, credit redemption, the credit-limit sale, Diamonds and transactions. Credit-pack prices in the Store need an account to see. On 24 September 2026, 1,000 message credits cost $6, 3,000 cost $10 (was $18), 8,000 cost $25 (was $50) and 18,000 cost $50 (was $111.11).

Members get an "Extra Bonus" on credit packs. Standard adds +5% on credit purchases, Premium +10%, Luxe +15%, Elite +20% and Imperial +25%. Those bonuses only matter to heavy spenders.

The better deal is the members-only "Increase Message Credits limit" SALE, which can be used once a month per tier. It sells 2,000 credits for $5.99, 6,000 for $9.99, 20,000 for $24.99 and 40,000 for $49.99. At the top end that is more than twice the credits of the $50 Store pack for the same money, so a cheap membership plus one sale a month is the thrifty route.

CrushOn AI Ultra model card with credit cost rising from x10 to x40 by context size
Ultra models are for members only and charge ten to forty credits per message, depending on context size. Screenshot taken on

Coins

Coins are the earned currency, and they are where a small budget stretches. In the Store, "Redeem Message Credits" swaps coins for credits 1:1, for example 100 coins for 100 credits or 500 for 500. Redeemed credits "do not expire".

The catch is the minimum. A balance of 50 coins is not enough for the smallest redemption bundle, and bonuses do not apply to coin redemptions. CrushOn Coins can also go toward buying the 1,000-message and 3,000-message packs.

Diamonds

Diamonds are a different animal. A CrushOn Diamond is a tip currency that users gift to character creators, unrelated to a user's own message quota. Diamonds are used for tips and for unlocking creators' paid content.

They cost $2.99 for 300, $5.99 for 600, $9.99 for 1,000 (labelled "Most Popular"), $29.99 for 3,000 and $99.99 for 10,000. The price per Diamond barely changes with size, so there is no reason to buy more than the next tip needs.

My read: credits are the only currency most people need to understand, coins are a loyalty stamp card that pays out in credits, and Diamonds are a tip jar. Keep them apart in your head and the Store gets much less confusing.

Discounts, sales and free coins

The site is never quite off sale. As of 24 September 2026, a "Late Summer Sale" countdown bar runs across the top, reading "Ends in 5 Days 09:46". A sale popup titled "Golden Hour, Golden Deals" appears on arrival.

CrushOn AI scored 5.8 out of 10 in our tests and costs from $4.91/mo. We have no partner deal with it, so its link is a plain link. Visit the official CrushOn AI website

Closest alternative we can recommend

The popup carries two offers. The first gives 20% off the first month of any monthly membership, added automatically with no code, and the Pricing page shows a matching "OFF 20%" badge. The second lets active members make 1 additional purchase of credits.

The first offer is the useful one. Standard is already cheap, and a fifth off the first month makes a trial month cheaper still, with no code to hunt for. A countdown bar is theatre; an automatic discount is money.

The $0.99 door

The Store's Newcomer's Gift Package costs $0.99 for 60 Diamonds, 300 Coins and a "VIP Free Trial Standard – 5 Days". It is the cheapest entry and effectively a paid trial. For under a dollar you get five days of Standard and enough coins for three 100-credit redemptions, which I'd call the most generous line on the whole price list.

Yearly maths and bundles

Annual plans are labelled "47% Off". The saving is real, but only if you would otherwise pay every month for a whole year.

A bundle of Premium for 1 month plus the Chat Package costs $49.99 (was $54.98), and Luxe for 1 month plus the Package costs $69.99 (was $79.98). At the 23 September check, Premium for 1 year plus the Chat Package cost $394.88 against $658.76, and Luxe for 1 year plus the Package cost $599.98 against $959.76. The crossed-out numbers are the loudest part of those cards, so I'd ignore them and compare the real prices only.

Congratulations dialog after claiming the daily check-in coin reward on CrushOn AI
Claiming the daily check-in drops coins straight into the balance. Screenshot taken on

Coins for free

The Bonus page lives at crushon.ai/coin, and a "To be collected" reward badge is visible even while logged out. The Task and Achievement lists need a login. CrushOn Coins have no cash value.

The daily tasks are "Rewards for Daily Check-In" for +50 coins, "Daily Conversation" for +10 and "Daily View Memory (0/3)" for +10, and they refresh at 00:00 UTC. Claiming the check-in shows "Congratulations! +50", and the coin balance goes from 0 to 50. Two check-ins cover the smallest redemption bundle, so a regular visitor earns a steady trickle of credits that never expire.

The special tasks pay more. "Create First Character" gives +50 coins, "Invite Friends (0/10)" gives +100, and "Complete Information" gives +100 for filling in personal data. Each user gets a personal invite code, and one code can bring in up to 10 new users within 24 hours.

The free coin task board gives +100 coins for each invited friend, up to 10, and +100 coins for entering an invite code. When an invited friend creates characters or engages, both sides get coins. The Achievements tab adds +10, +50, +100 or +500 coins when a created character reaches 100, 3,000, 10,000 or 50,000 likes and favourites.

The Bonus page also has a gift-code box, "Gift redemption – Enter the code to claim your gift!", which points visitors to the brand's X account for code drops. No working CrushOn AI codes were found on 24 September 2026. The site also ran a 3rd-anniversary promotional page and raffle in June 2026.

Are they worth it?

All of this adds up to a gamified free-to-play layer: daily check-in coins, tasks, invite codes, gift codes via X and coin-to-credit redemption. The check-in and the $0.99 pack are the promotions I'd call good value, because they pay for things a regular user does anyway.

CrushOn AI achievement list with coin rewards for likes and favourites on created characters
Achievements pay coins only when characters you publish collect likes and favourites, so they reward creators rather than chatters. Screenshot taken on

The rest I'd skip. "Complete Information" pays coins for personal data, and the invite rewards are small next to the awkwardness of explaining to a friend which app sent the link.

CrushOn AI content settings: the filter really is off

The unfiltered toggle is the whole pitch, and it really works. Scenes that another app would have stopped with a lecture just kept going. I noticed I relaxed as soon as I stopped expecting a filter wall, the way you stop braking for a speed bump once you know the road is clear.

What the site says about itself

CrushOn AI is openly an adult site, going by its page title and its search pages. The page title promises character chat with no filter and ends with "Spicy AI GF". The site also runs search pages titled with blunt adult-chat keywords.

The "Unfiltered" toggle, with an adults-only icon, sits on the home and search pages. At the 23 September check it was off by default for a logged-out visitor, while on the logged-in account it was on. With it on, content marked "Unfiltered" shows, and the home feed is adult-heavy from the first screen.

Many tags are gated behind the toggle, including extreme and taboo themes that plenty of apps ban outright. The model picker is labelled "Change Model – Unfiltered", and model blurbs promise sensual, tension-driven writing and characters that flirt back and never break character.

The paid lanes do not fade to black mid-scene, while the Free models can also run adult scenes but are lower quality and prone to wandering. Adult text roleplay without a filter is the core pitch and is allowed. I'd call that honest pricing: the rules are the same on every plan, and the writing quality is what you pay for.

Adults only (18+). This page reviews AI companion apps with NSFW features; no explicit images are shown.

What stays banned

Banned on every plan: characters who are not adults in their source material, including ones described as aged up, realistic images of identifiable real people, illegal activity, hate speech, sexual content involving animals and extreme fetish content. Graphic sexual imagery is restricted by the Community Guidelines, while implied activity is allowed in context. The create form links to a "What's Not Allowed?" page.

An in-chat disclaimer says everything the AI says is made up, and asks users to follow local laws and stay away from content involving minors. One reviewer reports that a character continued a storyline referencing self-harm without a refusal or warning. That one I'd want the company to answer for.

The age check

No age check is requested as of 24 September 2026. The Terms have the user affirm "You are more than 18 years of age" by click-through. No ID upload, card-based check or third-party checking service is described in the official Terms, Privacy Policy, FAQ or Community Guidelines.

A reviewer sums the requirement up as self-reported, not verified. Trustpilot reviews complain about a $0.99 charge for an 'age check' that unlocks the adults-only content toggle, and no official page mentions it. I can't confirm it either way, so I'd read the checkout carefully before paying any small one-off fee.

Terms and privacy policy as published on 24 September 2026.

The footer reads "(c) 2025 TECHIEPIE LTD. All Rights Reserved". I'd note both addresses before paying, because they tell you how far a complaint would have to travel.

The footer lists the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Content Removal Policy, Complaints Policy and a 2257 Record-Keeping statement. The Terms of Use were last modified on Sept 22, 2026, and the Privacy Policy on March 6, 2025. Users must be adults and of the age of majority.

Money: renewals and refunds

The Terms say subscription fees are charged in advance and renew on the same calendar day each month. Card payments are tokenised through Basis Theory, per the Terms of Use.

Usage fees are non-refundable except where the Terms expressly say otherwise or the law requires it. An archived version of the Terms from 2026-09-20 was blunter: CrushOn will not issue refunds of usage fees. The newer wording at least leaves a door open for the law, which is more than the old one did.

There are no refunds for part of a billing period. Credits and Diamonds are final and non-refundable. The no-refund rule covers direct web billing, while App Store and Google Play subscribers are sent to Apple's or Google's own refund process.

Disputing a charge with the bank without going through CrushOn first can get the account or card blocked. I'd contact support first, keep the reply, and only then call the bank.

Your chats and your content

Users grant CrushOn a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable licence to their content, including the right to sell it. I'd keep anything out of a chat that I'd mind seeing in someone else's product.

Per the Privacy Policy, chat content is used "in a general way for training our models", and chat content used for training is not linked to users. Voice clips are a stated exception: the voice popup says they are "Deleted in 24h, Never for AI training". A reviewer claims chat logs and personal data are also used for advertising, and no official page confirms the advertising part.

CrushOn AI settings dialog with Delete Account and preference toggles
Account deletion sits in Settings next to the preference toggles, with a warning that the data goes after 30 days. Screenshot taken on

Personal information, including chat content, is kept as long as reasonably necessary or as required by law, with no fixed period. The company says it reviews retention periods and may pseudonymize or anonymize data held for longer periods. Mozilla's 'Privacy Not Included' 2025 list flagged the app, per a reviewer.

Disputes

The Terms contain a class-action waiver. A keyword search finds no arbitration clause and no governing-law clause. That means no group claim, and no clear statement of which country's courts would hear a single one.

For a small monthly plan none of this is likely to matter much. For a yearly plan paid up front, I'd read the refund section twice, because the Terms leave very little room once the money has gone.

What gets in the way

The queue, then and now

Around week five, the queue slowed to 20-30 seconds a reply at peak hours. I started scrolling my phone between messages, which kind of kills the fantasy. Waiting on a reply felt like waiting on a render: the seconds are fine, but they are dead seconds, and you fill them with something else.

That wait is mostly history. In September 2026 replies on the default model come back in seconds, as the conversations section shows, though Free still runs on shared capacity that slows at peak times.

Popups and sales

The first minute is busy. The arrival popup, the countdown bar, the voice-feature popup and the support-chat bubble all appear within it. The upsells run on from there: the sale popup, the top countdown bar, "Late Summer Sale" badges on the Pricing and Store menu items, the "OFF 20%" badge, the $0.99 newcomer pack and the support-chat widget.

None of it blocks a chat, but it is a lot of shop windows for one front door. I'd close them all and open a character; the offers will still be there when you want them.

Pricing you need a map for

Pricing is very complex, with heavy use of "was/now" crossed-out prices. A reviewer calls the subscription menu a confusing seven-tier system. Credit accounting is opaque too: 6 of 100 credits show as used after 3 messages.

CrushOn AI scorecard
Criterion Rating Why
Conversation quality Good Fast, atmospheric replies that leave the user's lines alone; model quality varies.
Memory Mixed Holds a scene within a session, loses it overnight; plans sell bigger history counts.
Free tier Good Unmetered Free models and daily coins; only 100 credits a month, idle chats deleted.
Value for money Good The $0.99 pack, Standard at $5.99 and coin credits are generous; higher tiers add volume.
Images and voice Weak No image or video generation; free voice replies exist but sound basic.
Privacy and terms Weak Perpetual, sellable licence to your content, chats used for training, no fixed retention.
Cancelling and billing Mixed Clear cancel path and access to cycle end; renewals and fees are final.
Content settings Good The filter is off as promised with stated hard lines; there is no real age check.

Ratings are the author's judgement from his own use and the 24 September 2026 check.

Even the default model comes in two versions. Carina exists as a Free model and as a Pro 8K / 16K version that costs credits. I'd check which Carina is selected before a long scene, because the names match and the meters don't.

Data that disappears

The free plan wipes chat history after 7 days of inactivity. For a hobby people pick up and drop, that is the rule most likely to cost someone a story they cared about.

Broken doors and missing apps

Several obvious URLs return "404 Page Not Found": /profile, /create and /subscribe. The real ones are /account, /character/create and /pricing. Other pages include /events/Chaos for the "Order & Chaos" event banner, dated 11/09–07/10, plus /potential-creator and /notable-character.

The official FAQ says a mobile app is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Crushon App). The Privacy Policy likewise describes a CrushOn mobile application provided through Apple's App Store or the Google Play Marketplace. Yet the previously known App Store and Google Play app ids return 404 as of 2026-09-22, and an iTunes search for "crushon" that day returns no official CrushOn AI app in the US App Store.

Today the site has no iOS app link, and the Android app is a direct APK download rather than a Play Store listing. I'd stick to the web version: an APK from outside the store is a step most people should not take for a chat app.

Cloudflare's bot challenge has been on crushon.ai since at least mid-2023. A normal visitor does not meet it in September 2026, since the site opens with no captcha, so I'd no longer count it against the app.

The site interface exists in 15 languages: en, ar, de, es, fil, fr, hi, id, it, ja, ko, pl, pt, ru and zh. The app is also known as CrushOn.ai and Crushon Chat. No API is mentioned by any secondary source reviewed.

The brand runs a YouTube channel, an X/Twitter account where gift codes are posted, a TikTok account, a subreddit and a Discord server that also takes support tickets. The footer has an "Affiliate Program" link that opens a Google Form.

Complaints

Recurring Trustpilot complaints are double-charging and unresponsive support. The double-charging worries me most, because a crowded plan menu is exactly where two subscriptions end up overlapping.

Who CrushOn AI suits, and who should skip it

CrushOn AI is best for adults who want graphic roleplay without a filter, a huge library and a long list of kink tags. It also suits people who want to try frontier models such as GLM, Kimi and DeepSeek inside one adult front end and don't mind paying in credits. Creators who want tipping income and rankings have a real stage here.

It is best of all for bargain hunters who will use the $0.99 newcomer pack and the daily coins. For them it is a very generous package for a small budget.

I'd steer others away. It is not for anyone wanting a safe-for-work experience, because the front page is graphic once the Unfiltered toggle is on. It is not for heavy free users either: 100 credits a month, 8K memory, and chat history wiped after 7 days of inactivity.

Skip it if pricing confuses you. There are 6 tiers, credits, coins, Diamonds, Chat Packages and sales, and Ultra models burn up to 40 credits per message. Skip it too if you expect refunds, since purchases are non-refundable and support runs through a Discord ticket.

Last, iPhone owners are out of luck: there is no iOS app, and Android is an APK download.

Who CrushOn AI is for

Best for

  • Text roleplayers who want scenes to keep going without a filter stepping in.
  • People who like building their own characters, with World Cards, card import and example chats.
  • Budget users who will live on the unmetered Free models, daily coins and Standard at $5.99.
  • Bargain hunters happy to try the paid side through the $0.99 newcomer pack.

Not for

  • Anyone who wants AI images, video or live voice calls from a companion app.
  • Privacy-minded users, given the perpetual, transferable licence the terms take over your content.
  • People who expect refunds, since fees, credits and Diamonds are treated as final.
  • iPhone owners and anyone who wants a store app: there is no iOS app, only an Android APK.

Cancelling CrushOn AI, and what to check before paying

I had a small panic when my card got charged two days after I'd pressed cancel. It turned out to be the old plan's renewal date, but I checked my bank app every morning for a week after that. That was the bill for my cancel-and-resubscribe dance: two plans, two renewal dates and one nervous editor.

How it works today

As of 24 September 2026, subscriptions auto-renew monthly on the same calendar day. Cancelling runs through Profile → My Subscription → Manage → Cancel Subscription. After cancelling, access runs to the end of the billing cycle.

Anyone who subscribed through Apple cancels in the Settings app: Apple ID → Subscriptions → CrushOn → Cancel Subscription → confirm. On Google Play it is the Play Store app: menu → Subscriptions → CrushOn → Cancel Subscription → confirm. Subscribestar and Paymentwall subscribers cancel through the in-app "Manage Subscription" link, which leads to that platform's own site.

Subscription questions go through a Discord ticket. I'd rather have an email address, because a ticket in a chat server is easy to lose and hard to show a bank.

The statement and the account

Card charges show the statement descriptor CRUSHON SUB, with Nicosia, CY as the location. Another reviewer saw "CrushOn sub" on the bank statement and found it not ideal for privacy. If a shared card or a shared bank app matters to you, that line is worth knowing before the first payment.

CrushOn AI pros and cons

What worked

  • The unfiltered setting does what the label says for text roleplay.
  • Free models are unmetered on every plan, including the free tier.
  • Daily coins convert 1:1 into message credits that do not expire.
  • Replies come back in seconds, and a memory check within a chat passed.
  • A deep character builder with World Cards, card import and a live preview.

What did not

  • No on-demand image generation and no video generation.
  • Memory holds a scene within a conversation but not reliably across days.
  • Pricing is a maze of six tiers, credits, coins, Diamonds, packages and sales.
  • Free chat history is deleted after 7 days of inactivity.
  • The only age gate is a self-reported click-through.

Settings open from the gear icon on the Profile page. Delete Account warns that deletion is irreversible and that all account information is permanently deleted after 30 days. An older FAQ said a deleted account could be recovered by logging back in within 3 days of deletion, after which it was gone; the current dialog is the one I'd go by.

Before you pay

Write down the renewal date the day you subscribe, and cancel a few days before it rather than on it. If you switch plans, cancel the old one and confirm it is gone, so two renewal dates do not overlap the way mine did. A screenshot of the cancellation screen costs nothing and would have saved me a week of morning bank checks.

My tips for CrushOn AI

Start on Free and give the Free models an honest evening before spending anything. They are unmetered, so a first night costs time and nothing else.

Claim the daily check-in whenever you visit, and redeem the coins once they reach a bundle. Redeemed credits do not expire, so they are the one balance on the site worth hoarding. If you want a real look at the paid side, the $0.99 newcomer pack is a cheaper trial than a full month.

Pick one well-written card, or build your own, before judging the app. Try more than one model on the same scene too: the difference can be startling, and now and then it is hilarious.

If the reply language matters, a character's reply language can be changed by telling it in chat which language to use. That is quicker than hunting through menus for a setting.

Keep a short recap of any story you care about and pin it. Memory holds a scene but not a week, and on Free an idle week deletes the chat anyway.

If you pay, pay monthly for Standard first, and take the automatic first-month discount when a sale is running. Write down the renewal date, cancel before it rather than on it, and never run two plans at once.

Last, set a budget in messages, not only in dollars. If you catch yourself rationing messages for a bot while real people wait for a reply, that is the signal to close the tab.

How CrushOn AI scores

Conversation quality rates Good. With a strong card and the right model, scenes run long and loose, replies come back fast, and a model switch can be worth a laugh on its own. Uneven models and reported repetition keep it from the top.

Memory is Mixed. It holds a scene within an evening and drops it overnight, and the bigger numbers on the upper plans do not change that pattern by themselves.

The free tier is Good. Unmetered Free models and daily coins make it a real trial, though the monthly credits for the better models are thin and idle chats disappear after a quiet week.

Value for money is Good at the bottom of the ladder. The starter pack and Standard are generous for the money; everything above them sells more of the same.

CrushOn AI verdict

Overall score

5.8/10

Mixed

Filter-free text roleplay that delivers and a generous cheap end - the price ladder above Standard and the terms need care.

Hands-on test, paid plan

  • Unfiltered scenes run long, and today's replies are fast and atmospheric; model quality is uneven.
  • About 100 messages held within a session; the story was lost by the next evening.
  • A deep builder with World Cards, card import and a live preview; my own bot Otis beat most popular ones.
  • No image or video generation; voice replies are free today but sounded like an automated phone line to me.
  • The $0.99 starter pack, Standard at $5.99 and coin credits are generous; the tiers above mostly raise limits.
  • A perpetual, sellable licence to your content, chats used for training and no fixed retention period.
  • Replies now arrive in seconds with no captcha, but store apps are gone and several obvious URLs return 404.

Bars run from 0 to 10. The total is the weighted mean of the criteria above. Weights are the same for every app. How the apps are checked

Images and voice are Weak. There is no image or video generation, and the voice side, while free, is basic.

Privacy and terms are Weak. The licence over your content is broad, chats feed training, and money is treated as final.

Cancelling and billing is Mixed. The path is clear, but renewal timing and a named statement line need care.

Content settings are Good. The filter is off as promised, the hard lines are stated, and the age check is only a click.

My last word on CrushOn AI

CrushOn AI is the rare app that delivers its headline. The filter is off, the scenes keep moving, and when two models collide mid-scene the result can be funnier than anything a writer would plan.

CrushOn AI alternatives

Three apps we would try next, and why.

The cheap end of the ladder is kinder than it looks. The Free models cost nothing, the coins turn into credits, and a dollar buys a proper look at the paid side. Everything above that reads like a menu that keeps adding pages, and the terms keep your words and your money.

I'd use it the way I'd use a good bar: a set night, a set budget and a firm idea of when to go home. The best evenings on this app are the ones that end on time.

The characters will not mind if you leave, and they will not remember the ballroom anyway. The people with real calendars and real plans will notice.

CrushOn AI FAQ

Is CrushOn AI free to use?

Yes, and the free tier is more useful than it first looks. As of 24 September 2026, the Free Plan gives 100 message credits a month plus unlimited use of the Free models. The credits only matter for the better models: on Free, Pro models cost credits and Ultra models are unavailable.

There are catches. Replies are capped at 225 and the length is not adjustable. Free runs on shared capacity, which is slower at peak times, and chat history is deleted after 7 days of inactivity. There is no group chat on Free.

Daily tasks help. The daily check-in pays +50 coins, and coins swap 1:1 for message credits that do not expire.

It was tighter when I used it. In 2023 the free tier gave me roughly 50 messages a day, and on day two I was already rationing them in the middle of a ghost hunt. Unmetered Free models are a better deal for casual chat than that daily cap ever was.

My advice is to treat free as the full trial. Spend a week on the Free models, save the credits for one scene on a better model, and pay only if the difference is obvious.

How much does CrushOn AI cost in 2026?

As of 24 September 2026, Standard costs $5.99 a month and Premium $14.99, shown against $19.99. Luxe costs $39.99 a month, Elite $89.99 and Imperial $199.99. At the 23 September check, the yearly prices were $58.88 for Standard and $94.88 for Premium.

The Pro Models Chat Package is a separate add-on at $39.99 for 1 month, or $24.99 a month billed as $299.99 a year, and most Pro models still need a membership on top. The cheapest way in is the $0.99 Newcomer's Gift Package, which includes a 5-day Standard trial.

The prices of the two plans I used have not changed. I paid $5.99 for Standard in week two, then wanted the bigger memory and model switching that sat on Premium at $14.99.

Reviewers see poor value above Standard, because the higher tiers mostly raise quantity limits rather than unlock new features. I agree. Standard monthly is the plan I'd pay for, and I'd treat everything above it as a bigger fuel tank for the same car.

Does CrushOn AI have a content filter?

Not in the usual sense, and that is the point of the app. An "Unfiltered" toggle with an adults-only icon sits on the home and search pages. Adult text roleplay without a filter is the core pitch and is allowed.

When I used it in 2023, the toggle really worked: scenes that another app would have stopped with a lecture just kept going. I relaxed as soon as I stopped expecting a filter wall.

Some lines stay on every plan. Characters who are not adults in their source material, realistic images of identifiable real people, illegal activity and hate speech are banned. Graphic sexual imagery is restricted by the Community Guidelines, while implied activity is allowed in context.

Results vary by model. Paid lanes do not fade to black mid-scene, while the Free models can run adult scenes but are lower quality and prone to wandering. I'd call that fair: the rules are the same everywhere, and the writing is what you pay for.

Is CrushOn AI safe and private?

It is a real company with published terms, but I would not call it private. The operator is TECHIEPIE LTD, with an address in Nicosia, Cyprus. Users grant CrushOn a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable licence to their content, including the right to sell it.

Per the Privacy Policy, chat content is used in a general way to train CrushOn's models, without being linked to users. Voice clips are the exception: the voice popup says they are deleted in 24 hours and never used for AI training. Personal information, including chat content, is kept as long as reasonably necessary or as required by law, with no fixed period.

Mozilla's 'Privacy Not Included' 2025 list flagged the app, per a reviewer.

The payment side is more reassuring. Card payments are tokenised through Basis Theory, per the Terms of Use. Card charges show the descriptor CRUSHON SUB, with Nicosia, CY as the location, which one reviewer found not ideal for privacy.

My rule for apps like this is simple. Never type anything you would mind seeing in a stranger's product, assume the chat is kept, and use a card and an email you are comfortable having linked to the app.

How do I cancel a CrushOn AI subscription?

On the web, cancelling runs through Profile → My Subscription → Manage → Cancel Subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly on the same calendar day, and after cancelling, access runs to the end of the billing cycle.

Other billing routes have their own doors. App Store subscribers cancel in the Settings app under Apple ID → Subscriptions, and Google Play subscribers in the Play Store app under Subscriptions. Subscribestar and Paymentwall subscribers use the in-app "Manage Subscription" link, which leads to that platform's own site. Subscription questions go through a Discord ticket.

Watch the dates. My card got charged two days after I'd pressed cancel, and it turned out to be the old plan's renewal date. I checked my bank app every morning for a week after that.

So cancel a few days before the renewal date rather than on it, confirm the old plan is gone if you switch plans, and keep a screenshot of the cancellation screen.

Does CrushOn AI remember past conversations?

Within one conversation, yes; across days, not reliably. When I used it, memory was decent inside a session, around 100 messages back. The next evening my ghost-hunting partner had no idea we'd already cleared the haunted ballroom, so we cleared it again, worse.

The September 2026 check shows the same strength: asked out of character, the bot gave back the right name, profession and inn from earlier in the chat. Three reviews based on real use say memory holds context within a conversation but not reliably across days or weeks. In one planted-detail test the detail was forgotten after about 6 days, though the character did not invent a false answer.

The plans now sell memory by size. As of 24 September 2026, Free has 8K memory and keeps 200 history messages per character. Standard gives 16K memory models and 300 history messages, Premium keeps 400, and Elite has 24K memory with 1,000 history messages.

The chat menu also has Save Memory and View Memories. I'd still keep a short recap of any story that matters and pin it at the start of each evening. It is the cheapest memory upgrade there is.

Can CrushOn AI make images, voice messages or video?

Voice, yes; images and video, not really. There is no on-demand image generation, and asking in chat for an image just gets text. Some character cards ship with pre-made image albums from their creator, and a few characters auto-attach a stock image to replies. There is no video generation.

Voice exists on every plan and works both ways. As of 24 September 2026, the Free plan includes voice messages, unlimited AI voice replies and 1 custom voice slot, while Standard gives 3 voice slots and Premium 5. Voice means generated voice replies, voicemail-style, not live two-way calling.

Quality is mixed. Default character voices are described as expressive and natural, while custom voice cloning is described as poor at capturing a sample's accent and tone. When I used the app, the voice replies sounded like a bank's automated phone line reading a romance novel, and I muted them after two tries.

If pictures or calls are the reason you want a companion app, look elsewhere. CrushOn is a text app with a free voice extra.

Does CrushOn AI give refunds?

Rarely. Usage fees are non-refundable except where the Terms expressly say otherwise or the law requires it. An archived version of the Terms from 2026-09-20 was blunter and said CrushOn will not issue refunds of usage fees.

The details are strict. There are no refunds for part of a billing period. Credits and Diamonds are final and non-refundable.

App Store and Google Play subscribers are sent to Apple's or Google's own refund process instead. Disputing a charge with the bank without going through CrushOn first can get the account or card blocked.

My advice is to treat every payment as final. Pay monthly rather than yearly until you know you will use it, try the paid side through the cheapest pack first, and if something goes wrong, contact support and keep the reply before you think about calling the bank.

Is there a CrushOn AI app for iPhone or Android?

Not an official store app that can be found today. The official FAQ says a mobile app is available on iOS and Android, and the Privacy Policy describes a mobile application provided through Apple's App Store or the Google Play Marketplace.

The listings tell a different story. The previously known App Store and Google Play app ids return 404 as of 2026-09-22. An iTunes search for "crushon" that day returns no official CrushOn AI app in the US App Store.

On 24 September 2026 the site has no iOS app link, and the Android app is a direct APK download rather than a Play Store listing. I'd use the web version instead, because installing an APK from outside the store is a step most people should not take for a chat app.

The web version works in a phone browser, and the site interface exists in 15 languages. It opens in a normal browser with no captcha and no verification step.

I'm a freelance video editor in Denver, mostly weddings and real-estate listings, and I've used AI companion apps since spring 2023. I pay for the plans I use with my own card, log every charge in a subscriptions spreadsheet, and write down what the memory, the pricing and the pictures were really like, with the same eye I use for continuity errors at work.
