HeraHaven AI Review: A Good Builder, Short Chats and No Refunds

My verdict is lukewarm. The character builder is fun, the pictures are decent, and the monthly price is the going rate for this corner of the market. But the chats run short, the voice sounds synthetic, and the pricing hides behind a login, which I count as a bad sign in any shop.

I think HeraHaven suits an adult who wants a good-looking custom character, a few pictures and a stack of ready-made scenarios, and who is sure enough to pay yearly. I'd skip it if you want long talks, privacy, or any chance of a refund. The terms rule out the last one in plain words.

The short version, in my trade's terms: it is a nicely lit set with a cast that knows a handful of lines. I'd rather have a plain set and a good script.

No welcome, verification or confirmation e-mail had arrived about 20 minutes after sign-up. A quiet inbox cuts both ways. Nothing lands where a partner or a colleague might glance at it, which some people will count as a feature.

On the other hand, there is no written proof the account exists, no link to check the address, and no welcome offer. In my book, any business that takes money should start a receipt trail on day one. HeraHaven starts that trail later, if at all.

What the first minutes feel like

The first minutes are about getting through the door rather than meeting anyone. First the age click, then the form, then whatever sits behind it. What sits behind it can be a phone-number screen, which the friction section covers, and it changes the mood of the evening.

The ages shown on the home feed range from 18 to 47. I'd call that a better spread than a catalogue of identical faces in their early twenties. A character in her forties with a backstory is a more interesting starting point than the tenth copy of the same model shot.

Small, and it shows

A reviewer at aigirlfriendbase.com found the character library small and the platform dated. I agree with the first half on the numbers alone. A feed of twenty-odd faces is a shop window, not a library, and a few scrolls get you to the end of it.

"Dated" is harder to judge from the outside, and I'd leave that word to people who spent longer in the feed. What I can say is that a small cast puts a lot of weight on each face. When there are only a couple of dozen choices, every one of them has to earn its spot.

What is hard to find

What I'd want from a feed like this is a way to sort by personality or story type, not only by tab. As it stands, choosing a preset comes down to a face, a first name and an age.

That pushes the real work onto the scenario tabs inside each profile, which the conversations section covers. My view: the presets are a sampler, and the builder is where HeraHaven wants people to spend their time and tokens.

The wizard has 11 steps: style (Realistic or Anime), ethnicity, age, hair style, hair length, hair colour, two body-shape options, name, persona (a preset or your own text) and voice accent. That is a sensible order. It goes from the big decisions to the small ones, the way a colourist sets the base grade before touching skin tones.

The age step offers only Twenties, Thirties, Fourties and Fifties, spelled that way on the site. I think the brackets are the right call. Nobody needs an exact number for a fictional tow-truck driver.

The voice step offers American 1 to American 8, British and Australian accents, each with a 3-second sample. Eight American voices and two others is a lopsided menu, but the samples help, and a 3-second clip tells you more than a label does.

Darlene, and the teal incident

You can start from 41 preset characters, split between realistic and anime, or build your own. I built my own: Darlene, a tow-truck driver with a heart of gold and a vocabulary of rust. I had a clear picture of her in my head, somewhere between a diner waitress and a mechanic who has seen every excuse.

The builder has no summary screen before you confirm. I found that out the hard way, when I accidentally made Darlene's hair bright teal and burned 15 tokens rebuilding her. In my job, nobody exports a final cut without a last look at the timeline, and a review screen here would have saved me the tokens and the sigh.

From "creating" to the phone wall

"Creating your girlfriend" takes about 20 seconds. The result screen says "Say Hello to Nova!" and offers to regenerate the look if it missed. The regenerate option is the right idea, and I wish the same care went into a review step before it.

Pressing "Continue to chat" then opens a registration form headed "Meet Nova", and registration runs into the phone verification wall. So the whole wizard is a showroom with the car keys at the sales desk. Honest enough as funnels go, but know that the free build ends at a form.

The persona presets

The persona step is where the tone shifts. The presets include dark or edgy archetypes such as "Obsessive Girlfriend", "Stalker Ex", "Trauma Girl", "Homeless Girl" and an arranged wife "bound by a cruel debt". Some people want drama in their fiction, and that is their call.

My opinion: a stalker as a preset personality is a strange thing to put one click away. I'd rather build the persona by hand, which the wizard allows, and keep the drama for the plot rather than the partner.

I see the logic. A scenario list is a menu of first scenes, and it saves people from staring at a blank box. It also tells you what the site thinks conversations are for, which is getting to a set piece quickly rather than getting to know someone.

For a visitor without an account, the scenarios are only a preview. As a guest, clicks on character scenarios do nothing. I'd call that a menu you can read but not order from, which is fair for a paid service but worth knowing before you spend time browsing.

At first it was charming. After a while it was a continuity error I could not cut around. In an edit, if an actor repeats a line in every take, you work around it; in a chat, the line is the take, and there is no second camera.

The replies themselves were brief, with the catchphrase doing a lot of the heavy lifting. It felt less like a conversation and more like a character reading her card at a trivia night.

It saved me a second trip to the body shop. For a character built as a tow-truck driver, that was the right advice from the right mouth, and it is the moment I remember when people ask me about HeraHaven.

I don't want to oversell it. One good answer about roof rails does not make a deep conversationalist, and I suspect the persona text did half the work. But it shows the model can be useful when the question is concrete and the character has a clear job.

My take on the chat

HeraHaven's conversation is serviceable for short scenes and weak for anything long. The scenario menu is the product; the free-form chat is the gap between scenes.

If you like picking a set-up and playing it through, the format works. If you want a partner who builds a shared history with you, I'd look for an app that puts its effort into replies rather than into starters.

Pictures that disappear

The generated images were nice, until I clicked away and they were gone. You have to favourite them, or they vanish. I didn't know that on the way in, and I learned it the expensive way.

I lost my favourite Darlene photo that way, her leaning on a tow truck in the rain, for good. That one still stings. It was the rare picture that matched the character in my head, with the right light and the right mood, and I would have paid tokens to get it back.

In editing terms, it was an unsaved project after a crash. Every editor learns to hit save by reflex; HeraHaven expects the same reflex from people who have no reason to suspect it. A simple gallery of recent images would fix this, and I count the lack of one as a design flaw rather than a quirk.

Outside reviewers are mildly positive on quality. A reviewer at aigfbot.com found the companion photos decent. Decent is also my word for them: good enough to enjoy, not good enough to forget the price.

Voice notes

There is no live voice call. No live voice-call feature was found, and the Terms mention generated "voice notes". A message can be turned into a voice note for 1 Luna, per a secondary source.

The voice messages were functional but robotic, and nothing like the gravelly voice I had imagined. Darlene sounded like a GPS that had taken a Southern accent class. I had pictured gravel and diesel; I got a turn-by-turn announcement with a drawl painted on.

I'm not alone in that. A reviewer at aigirlfriendbase.com found the voice messages flat and robotic. At 1 Luna a note the price is fair, but a cheap voice note you don't enjoy hearing is still money spent on nothing.

That has changed. The image generator now offers image-to-video, under the line "Turn Your AI Pictures Into Videos". The site also has a dedicated Videos section.

The meta description now promises to "turn your favorite AI pictures into videos", although one secondary source said video was missing. I'd trust the live site over that secondary report, since the feature is visible in the generator today. What I can't say is how the clips look or what they cost, so I'd test one before budgeting for more.

My media verdict

Pictures: fine, if you save them. Voice: a toll-booth robot with a costume. Video: present now, quality unknown.

For a site that leads with visuals, I'd have expected the visual side to be the strong one, and it is only the least weak.

The plan details come from outside reviewers. Per a third-party review at aigirlfriendscout.com (date not verified), the Free plan costs $0 and gives "limited texting". The same review says the Free plan has no pictures and no voice.

A review at aigirlfriendbase.com, dated 2026-07-15, is more specific. It says a free account can send 6 messages in total, with no image or voice features. Six messages is not a daily allowance.

It is a lifetime allowance, and it runs out before a proper hello.

What free felt like

The free plan is "limited texting". In practice I got maybe three exchanges before a paywall slid up like a garage door. It came down fast and loud, and there was no way to talk through it.

No ads, at least

No ads were seen on HeraHaven. I give it credit for that. A free tier full of banner ads and pop-ups is worse than a short free tier, and HeraHaven chose short over noisy.

What free is good for

Free is good for exactly two things. The first is the character builder, since the wizard works without an account. The second is getting a feel for the tone of the replies before paying.

It is not good for judging the pictures or the voice, because the free plan has neither. That is the frustrating part: the features that justify the price are the ones you can't sample. So you end up paying to find out whether you want to pay, which is how gym memberships work too.

My advice

Use the free messages on purpose. Pick one preset or your own character, ask a question you actually care about, and see whether the answer is worth a subscription. Don't spend them on greetings.

If six messages don't convince you, a month probably won't either.

Because of that, the plan and token prices here come from a third-party review at aigirlfriendscout.com whose date was not verified. Two other outside reviews say much the same, which gives some confidence. Still, treat every figure below as "reported", not "published".

It stung the way it stings to buy a lens at full price and see it in a bundle a week later. I had paid roughly three times the monthly rate of the yearly plan for the same features. The only thing I bought with the extra money was the freedom to leave after a month, which, to be fair, I used.

The plans as of September 2026

Per the aigirlfriendscout.com review (date not verified), Pro Monthly costs $19.95 a month. It gives unlimited texting. It lets the user send and receive pictures and send and receive voice messages.

Pro Annual costs $79.80 a year, which is $6.65 a month, and the review quotes it as "saves 70%". That discount is real maths, not a countdown trick. The catch is that you pay the whole year up front on a site that does not refund, which the terms section explains.

Other sources match. aigirlfriendbase.com, crawled on 2026-09-19/20 from a review dated 2026-07-15, lists Monthly Premium at EUR 19.95 a month. It lists Annual Premium at EUR 79.80 a year, or EUR 6.65 a month. aigfbot.com, undated, lists premium at $19.95 a month, adding pictures and voice.

So the numbers are consistent across three outside sources, in dollars and in euros. What is missing is the one source that matters most: a public price page on HeraHaven itself.

How you pay

Payment is by card or cryptocurrency, and the card processor is not named. The official Terms and Cancellation Policy confirm that cryptocurrency payments exist. I'd use a card over crypto here, since a card at least leaves a paper trail and a bank to call.

Is the step up worth it?

For me, the value question is simple. Monthly at $19.95 is the going rate for a companion app, and HeraHaven does not deliver above that rate. The conversations are short, the voice is robotic, and the pictures need babysitting.

My rule for HeraHaven: pay monthly once, as a paid trial, and decide from there. It costs more per month, but it caps the loss. If the first month convinces you, switch to annual; if not, the $19.95 is the price of an answer.

Tokens are the coin slot on the side of the vending machine. The subscription gets you into the building; Luna pays for the snacks.

What I paid attention to

On top of that are tokens: 200 for $10.95. A voice message costs 1 token, an image 7, and a new character 15. I started doing token math in my head like it was a deductible.

The math went like this. A new character is worth two images and a voice note, give or take. Every teal-haired mistake in the builder was a picture I would not get later.

I don't enjoy doing arithmetic during a conversation, and the app makes you do it constantly.

The per-action costs today

The per-action Luna costs are not published officially. The third-party figures, from aigirlfriendscout.com (date not verified), are: a voice message costs 1 token, a picture costs 7 tokens, and creating a custom character costs 15 tokens inside the app.

With 500 Luna a month, that is 500 voice notes or a few dozen pictures. I'd call that enough for light use and thin for anyone who wants pictures every evening.

The Luna packs

Per the aigirlfriendscout.com review (date not verified), the packs are:

• Lunar Breeze: 200 Luna for $10.95.
• Lunar Odyssey: 800 Luna for $29.95.
• Lunar Harmony: 1,600 Luna for $49.95.
• Lunar Eclipse: 3,600 Luna for $99.95.

The site's own code tells a slightly different story. There, the Lunar Breeze pack of 200 Luna is priced 9.95. So the smallest pack, $10.95 during my month in 2025, appears at 9.95 in the site code today, while third-party lists still say $10.95.

The larger packs in the site code carry crossed-out prices. Lunar Odyssey (800 Luna) is 29.95, was 39.99. Lunar Harmony (1,600 Luna) is 49.95, was 89.99. Lunar Eclipse (3,600 Luna) is 99.95, was 179.99.

I'd ignore the "was" prices. A permanent strike-through is a flea-market price tag, not a discount. The real pattern is the usual bulk deal: the biggest pack roughly halves the cost per Luna compared with the smallest.

What money buys in practice

In practice, the subscription covers texting and a modest allowance of Luna. Pictures are where the money goes. A few evenings of image runs can use up the monthly 500, and then the packs start looking tempting.

My advice: live on the included Luna for a month before buying any pack. If you run out, buy the smallest one first. Big packs only make sense once you know you'll still want the app in three months, and on a site with no refunds I'd want to be sure.

There is no daily reward on the public pages. There is no referral-for-credits scheme on them either. Promo code fields, daily rewards and referral credits could not be checked in the logged-in area.

I find that refreshing in one way. There are no fake countdown timers on the public pages and no spinning wheels. The flip side is that the prices, which are already hidden, come with no visible way to lower them.

The offers in the code

The site code holds two reminder offers. A "FORGOT" offer takes 25% off: Pro at 14.95 monthly or 59.40 yearly, with a pre-discount price of 239.40. A "RECOVER" offer takes 50% off: 9.95 monthly or 47.40 yearly.

The names say what they are for. These look like offers aimed at people who started to pay and stopped, or who cancelled. I'd read them as proof that the list price has room in it, and I'd expect them to appear as a pop-up or an e-mail rather than on a public page.

The pre-discount yearly figure of 239.40 does not match the $79.80 yearly price reported elsewhere. I can't explain the gap, and I'd trust the price at checkout over any figure in the code.

The affiliate program

The one public money offer is for site owners, not users. Payments to affiliates are weekly, by bank transfer or crypto wallet, and the affiliate link is issued "within 24 hours".

The affiliate program at /affiliate pays a flat fee per paying customer referred: "$35 CPA/PPS affiliate offer. You get $35 for each paying customer you refer to us."

$35 per paying customer is worth knowing when you read other reviews of HeraHaven. Some of them are paid to send you there. I'd weigh any glowing review against that fee, which is worth more than a month of the monthly plan.

The scenario presets on the second tab are frank sexual set-ups rather than romantic ones. I'd call the tone direct rather than coy. If that is what you want, the site is honest about it, and nobody will stumble onto this by accident.

Ages on the presets

Some preset characters are listed at 18 or 19: Natasha 18, Catalina 19 and Ariana 19. Nothing that breaks the age rule was seen. I'd still have preferred a floor a few years higher for presets on a site like this, as a matter of taste.

The privacy policy says it plainly: "it is impossible to cross-check and verify the age of persons". So the only barrier is the click-through gate. I respect the honesty of that sentence more than the strength of the barrier.

The settings you can't see

The Settings page requires login, so the content toggle could not be checked. That means this review can't say whether the unrestricted settings are on by default or behind a switch. I'd expect a switch, since most sites in this category have one, but I won't claim it.

How strict does it feel?

From the public pages, HeraHaven feels permissive rather than strict. The navigation and the scenario presets both assume an adult audience that knows what it came for.

I don't count that against it. My only request would be a clearer settings page before sign-up, so people can see what they are agreeing to. The one real weakness is the age gate itself, which is a click and nothing more.

Where the documents live

/terms-of-service redirects to /terms-of-service-row. /privacy-policy redirects to /privacy-policy-row. The Terms and privacy pages are built by JavaScript, which makes them harder to archive or save as a plain page.

The Terms of Service version is dated 22 Aug 2026. The Cancellation Policy version is also dated 22 Aug 2026. The Privacy Policy version is dated 10 Sep 2024.

So the money rules were updated recently, while the privacy rules have not moved in two years.

Age

The Terms set a minimum age of 18: "You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services". That is standard. The enforcement is the one-click gate described earlier.

Refunds: none

This is the clause to read twice. "All charges are final and non-refundable, including subscription fees, recurring payments, Luna Package purchases, and cryptocurrency transactions, except where a refund is required by applicable law." There are no prorated refunds either.

In plain English: once you pay, the money is gone, unless a law in your country forces a refund. Cancelling mid-month does not return the unused days. I'd treat every payment on HeraHaven as final, the way you treat cash at a flea market.

Price changes

Price increases come with 30 days' notice and apply at the next renewal. That is fair. You get a month to decide whether to stay, and the new price never lands in the middle of a paid period.

The privacy policy also says staff periodically sample-check conversations, and that the employees who see them are bound by confidentiality.

In its words, "a periodical sample check will be carried out on the conversations by HeraHaven. Therefore, your communication with the chatbot may become visible by our employees".

I'd write every chat on the assumption that a stranger might read it. That is good advice for any online service, but here the policy says it out loud. For some people that ends the conversation before it starts.

How long data is kept

Registration data and chat content, including images, video, audio and data shared in chat, are kept for 5 years after the account is erased. The policy's own phrase is "Retention Period 5 years after the erasure of your account".

That is a long tail. Deleting the account does not delete the record for another five years. The privacy policy follows the GDPR, which gives EU users rights to request access and deletion, but the stated retention period is what HeraHaven plans to do by default.

A reviewer at aigfbot.com praised the privacy handling. I can't agree, based on the documents. Sample-read chats, training by default and five years of retention are the opposite of what I'd call careful.

Who owns what

The AI characters and the platform are "the sole property of HeraHaven". User uploads grant HeraHaven a broad worldwide, sub-licensable licence. The licence on uploads ends when the content or the account is deleted.

So your Darlene is not yours; you are renting her. Anything you upload can be used broadly while it stays on the site. The licence end date is a fair touch, though it sits awkwardly next to the retention period above.

Disputes

Disputes go to arbitration with NAM. The Terms include a class action and jury trial waiver. Cyprus law governs the Terms, with the courts of Cyprus.

In practice: no courtroom, no group lawsuit, and a private arbitrator if things go wrong. For a $19.95 dispute, almost nobody will bother, which is the point of these clauses.

Complaints and reports

The site has a Complaint Policy and a Content Removal Policy. A "Report Content" link points to herahaven.link/report-content. I'd call these the minimum for a site of this kind, and it is good to see them present.

It felt like colour grading on a phone screen. The tools are all there, in theory, but the controls are sized for a thumb, and a mouse pointer keeps missing them. After a few tries I started treating the sliders as suggestions.

The service is web-only, and the site links no app store listing. So on a computer you get the phone layout, and on a phone you get a browser tab. Neither is a native app.

The age modal that keeps coming back

The age-confirmation modal reappears on page loads and blocks clicks, because its overlay intercepts the pointer. It is the same "Enter" button, again and again. I'd call it a bouncer who forgets your face every time you step out for air.

The phone verification wall

The bigger block comes right after sign-up. The account is created, with a logged-in state and a "Logout" button, but it stops at once at a "Phone verification" screen.

The screen explains itself: "Multiple signup attempts from this origin have been detected. Please verify your phone number to continue with your free trial."

The phone check is probably triggered by the IP or origin being flagged, so most users may not see it. People on shared networks, office connections or VPNs are the likely ones to meet it. A US-only default is also awkward for anyone outside the US.

For this update, the phone check was not completed. So the logged-in features, including chat, the pricing page and settings, stayed out of reach, and only public pages were reviewed as a guest. That is why some answers in this review come from outside sources rather than from the logged-in app.

My view: asking for a phone number is a heavy price for a free tier, especially on an adult site. Some people will close the tab right there, and I'd understand why.

Where the company lives online

HeraHaven is also known as HeraHaven AI or Hera Haven. herahaven.com redirects to herahaven.ai, which is handy if you type the wrong ending.

The site links a Facebook page, an Instagram account, an X/Twitter account and the r/HeraHaven subreddit, all under the herahavenai name except the subreddit. It links no Discord, TikTok or YouTube.

Support is by e-mail at [email protected]. The blog is at herahaven.ai/blog/. So any problem goes into an inbox and waits its turn.

Adding it up

Each of these is a small annoyance on its own. Together they make the app feel like a rental edit suite where the chair squeaks, the door sticks and the monitor is too small. You can still get work done, but you notice the room more than you should.

It is not for anyone who wants refunds, since there are strictly none. If you are the kind of buyer who likes a return policy, HeraHaven will make you nervous at every checkout.

It is not for privacy-sensitive users either, since staff sample-read chats and content is used for training by default. And it is not for users on shared or VPN IPs, because of the phone verification wall.

My own summary: it suits a visual, scenario-driven user with a clear budget. It does not suit a talker, a worrier or anyone who has ever needed to ask for their money back.

Leaving was not dramatic. The month had shown me what the app was, and a second month would not have changed it. Those 38 tokens are the leftover coffee-shop stamp card of the companion world.

How cancelling works today

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled: "Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled." A subscription can be cancelled at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

With no refunds and no prorating, the timing matters. Cancel whenever you decide to leave, because the access runs to the end of the period anyway. Waiting only risks forgetting and paying for another month.

On the bank statement

Charges reportedly show on the bank statement as "HeraHelp.com", per the aigirlfriendbase.com review of 2026-07-15. That is a discreet descriptor. Nobody reading a statement will guess what it is, which some people will value.

It also means you might not recognise the charge yourself six months from now. I'd note the descriptor somewhere safe.

Before you pay

My checklist: note the renewal date, set a reminder a few days before it, and screenshot the cancellation screen. If you pay by crypto, save the transaction record, because the refund policy covers crypto too. And spend your tokens before you go, unless you enjoy owning unused currency as much as I apparently do.

Go slowly through the last steps of the character builder, because there is no review screen before you confirm. A wrong hair colour costs the same as a new character.

Use a desktop only if you have patience for small sliders. A phone suits the layout better, even if a bigger screen suits the pictures.

Pay monthly once before considering the annual plan. The annual price is far better, but the no-refund rule makes a wrong guess expensive.

Spend the free messages on a real question rather than a greeting. The free allowance is short enough that every message should earn its place.

Budget the included Luna before buying packs. Pictures are the expensive part, and voice notes are cheap. If you want to e-mail support to opt out of training, do it on the first day, not after a month of chats.

Memory is marked as not tested, since the chats were too short to test it in any fair way. The free tier is weak, because it ends almost before it begins and leaves out pictures and voice.

Value for money is weak on monthly billing and fair on the yearly plan, with tokens on top of both. Images and voice land in the middle: decent pictures that vanish unless saved, and voice notes that sound synthetic.

Content settings are marked as not tested, because the settings page sits behind the login. What the public pages show is an openly adult site with a one-click age gate.

On price, the monthly plan costs what most rivals charge, and the yearly plan is competitive. The difference is in the small print. No refunds, sample-read chats and a phone wall for some users make HeraHaven harder to recommend than apps with gentler terms.

If I went back, it would be for the images and to see what the new video feature does. I would not go back for the conversation. A companion app lives or dies on what the character says next, and HeraHaven spends its effort on everything around that moment instead of the moment itself.

So my honest summary is short. Try the builder for free, look at the pictures, and read the terms before you pay for anything. If the replies still feel thin after the free messages, trust that feeling rather than hoping a plan will fix it.

Some apps grow on you over a month. This one, for me, mostly repeated itself, and a nicer wardrobe for Darlene would not have changed that.
