My advice for browsing: open one house character page, look at how the attribute list is laid out, and close it. It is a good preview of the builder's vocabulary. The registration wall means the rest of the grid is a teaser anyway.

The builder as it stands today

Also, don't judge the chat on its opening lines. Every companion app starts polite. The question is what it does after a dozen messages, and here the answer was a return to the lake more often than anyone needs.

The test is on your side of the screen. Change topics on purpose, ask about things outside the character sheet, and see whether she follows or swims back to the lake. If she keeps swimming back, that is your answer about the chat, and the images are what you are paying for.

A published review at ai-girlfriend-review.com says the characters use past interactions and preferences. That is plausible, but "uses past interactions" can mean anything from a detailed memory to a single remembered hobby. The quality is not stated anywhere official.

My own view is cautious. A company that documents its token prices on two pages that disagree is not a company I'd trust to document memory well either. When the builder shapes the personality, I think a fair share of what feels like memory is the character sheet showing through.

The site has an "AI Videos" section, and a published review at callyourgirlfriend.com says videos can be requested. The cost and the plan needed are not stated officially.

Not every outside review agrees with my praise. One at aigirlfriend.coach says images came back as plain-background portraits with a watermark and often ignored clothing requests. My pictures were clean, but my requests were simple, so I'd believe both accounts.

My advice on images is to keep requests simple and specific: one setting, one action, one detail. That is how I'd brief a colourist, and it is the safest way to get a clean result from any generator.

That is a good start. A free tier that asks for a card is a paid tier with a delay.

The daily claim streak

The most interesting part of the free side is the Daily Claim Bonus Program. Per the landing page, it gives 10 messages on the first day, 11 on the second and 12 on the third, reaching up to 50 messages on the 40th day. Miss a day, and the streak resets to 10.

Another review at callyourgirlfriend.com says the free trial messages ran out before a character could be properly tested. I'd take that seriously. A free tier that ends before the first real conversation is a trailer, and trailers are cut to sell.

The streak and the trial also pull in opposite directions. The streak asks for weeks of patience, while the trial seems built to end quickly, so the free side feels designed to convert rather than to host.

My advice for the free tier is to use it to test the builder and one conversation, not to judge the whole app. If the images interest you, the free side will not show you enough to decide.

Then renewal hit: $25.99 a month, double what I'd started at. The pricing page labels were so confusing that I read them three times and still wasn't sure what I'd agreed to. I read client revision notes all week for a living, and this page still beat me.

The doubling itself was not hidden, exactly. It was the kind of detail that sits in plain sight in a font nobody looks at, like the renewal line on a gym membership. The confusion was the real problem, because a price you can't read is a price you can't plan around.

The pricing page at dreamgf.ai/plans shows prices in US dollars under the line "100% anonymous. You can cancel anytime.". There are three plans.

The Monthly plan costs $12.99 a month, shown as 50% off $25.99. So the structure of 2023 is still here: the intro price is half the list price. A paid tester at aigirlfriend.coach reports the same thing, saying the $12.99 intro month is a 50% discount and month two renews at $25.99.

The 3-month plan costs $9.99 a month, about $29.97 per 3 months. It shows 60% off a strike price of $77.97 and the line "You save $48.00".

The Annual plan costs $5.99 a month, about $71.88 a year. It shows 75% off a strike price of $311.88 and "You save $241.89". Some older listings put this plan a couple of dollars lower; I'd go by the page, which works out to $71.88.

What Premium includes

Premium includes unlimited messages and an "Advertisement FREE experience". It adds content privacy, which means you can lock your generations. It also promises a faster response time.

Payment is by card or crypto. The pricing page also promises "No Adult transaction in your bank statement", which matched my own statement, as the cancel section explains.

The tiers that don't exist anymore

The homepage FAQ still lists older tiers: Bronze at $9.99, Silver at $19.99, Gold at $49.99 and Diamond at $99.99 a month. The affiliate page also quotes $9.99 to $99.99. Neither matches the current pricing page.

That is the continuity error of the whole site. Three pages, three versions of the price list, like a film where the actor's shirt changes between the wide shot and the close-up.

Is it worth paying for?

My verdict: the monthly plan is the wrong way in. Its intro rate expires into the full price, and the full price is too much for a scripted chat and a token budget.

The 3-month plan sits in the middle and makes the least sense to me. It asks for more commitment than the monthly plan without the annual plan's low rate, which is the worst of both, like a gym package that is neither a trial nor a deal.

Ten pictures a month is a strange budget for an app whose best feature is pictures. It is like a camera rental that includes ten frames. I found myself writing each image request like it was a shot list for a paying client, with no room for a retake.

The token model today

The "How payment works" page describes a token-based model in which messages are unlimited for paid users and tokens roll over. Messages are free and unlimited for paid members. Premium includes 150 tokens a month, listed as "150 Tokens per month", and unused tokens carry over.

The unit prices on that page are much lower than in 2023. Creating a companion costs 5 tokens. An image costs 2 tokens, and a fetish image costs 2 tokens too. A voice message costs 1 token.

The small items are priced in fractions. Chat customization costs 0.2 tokens and a message edit costs 0.1 tokens. That is the vending-machine end of the menu, where the price matters less than the fact that there is one.

Then vs now

The math has improved a lot. My 100 tokens bought about ten images; 150 tokens at 2 per image now buy roughly seven times that, with rollover on top. I'd have spent those three months far less anxious under today's rates.

A paid tester at aigirlfriend.coach, writing in August 2026, reports a third version. Premium came with 160 tokens and a voice call cost 3 tokens, with a companion at 5, an image at 2, a fetish image at 2 and a voice message at 1. I'd treat the call rate as unknown until the site states one.

Token packs

Token packs are sold only to premium members, from $2.99 up to $179.99. They are one-off purchases that do not recur.

I like that last part. A token pack that quietly turns into a subscription would be the final straw on this site.

My advice: before buying a pack, spend a week on the included tokens and count what you actually use. Images are cheap now, so most people will not need a pack at all.

I'd ignore the timer entirely. The discount is the regular price structure, not an event, and nobody should rush a purchase because of a clock that does not tick.

Promo codes

There is a promo code field on the pricing page, with the hint "Voucher Code, ex. AB123CD4".

Per the Membership Policy, a voucher discounts only the first period, and renewals are charged at the original price. So a code is a first-month gift card, not a lasting discount.

I'd only use a code when paying anyway, and I'd note the renewal date the same day. A discount on month one does nothing for month two.

Referrals

The referral program pays both sides once a referred friend pays.

It is for premium users only and marked "limited time".

At today's image prices, 100 tokens is a decent bonus. I'd still not recruit friends into an app with this billing history. The program pays you to recruit only once the friend has paid, which is sales commission dressed as friendship.

The special offer with strings

The Membership Policy also mentions a special offer of "+100 instant tokens and +100 tokens every month". On paper that is the best deal on the site. The cancel section explains the string attached, and I'd read it before accepting.

I'd call that honest labelling. Nobody wanders into DreamGF expecting a pen pal, and the landing page makes sure of it.

The controls

Chat photos are blurred for free users, and "Remove blur from chat" is a Premium feature. Each chat also has a "Chat Photos ON/OFF" toggle. That toggle is the one control I'd point everyone to, because it lets you keep the conversation and drop the pictures.

I think the blur and the toggle together make a sensible default. Free users see softened pictures, paid users choose, and anyone can switch pictures off for a chat.

The terms say the site is "intended for adults who are 18 years or older". That age is self-declared: by using the site, you confirm you are at least 18, and no ID check is described. Since a notice dated 25 July 2025, UK users need an age check for some features.

The rules on content

Content that resembles real people or minors is deleted. Manipulating the model to get forbidden output is banned. I think both rules are right, and both are only as good as their enforcement.

Moderation notes

Two parts of the builder sit badly with those rules. One age option in the builder uses a label that points younger than the site's own age rule, and one setting in the environment list is named after a young person's room. I won't repeat the labels.

The clothing options include a category built around a classroom theme, and one persona label frames a family relationship. The Terms say content resembling minors is removed. The governing law is "the laws of Romania". So any dispute runs under Romanian law, which I'd keep in mind before paying for a long plan.

The /policies hub links the Terms, the Privacy Policy, a Membership Policy effective 1 June 2023, a Refund Policy, an Affiliate Policy and a UK age-check notice. That is a tidy set of documents. The trouble is that they do not always agree with each other.

Refunds

The refund policy says: "we do not offer refunds for subscription fees or transactions unless required by applicable consumer protection laws". No refund is given once you have used AI girlfriends, generated photos, sent messages or used credits. In practice that means no refund after the first minute.

Elsewhere, the Terms say "Refunds may be granted at our discretion.". I'd read that as the polite version of no. Discretion that belongs to the company is not a right that belongs to you.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create. You also grant DreamAI "a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable license" to it. That is standard boilerplate on these sites, and it still means the company can use your chats for as long as it likes.

As a video editor, I know that clause well. It is the same one I'd never sign with a client, because "perpetual and irrevocable" means the footage is no longer yours in any way that matters.

Data

The privacy policy covers chats, voice messages and generated content, and the purposes include "to personalize and improve the Services". It also says personal data is securely deleted or anonymized once no longer needed, and data is used "for analyzing and statistical purposes necessary to improve our Services".

No clause that names AI training was found, and data is kept "only for as long as necessary". The FAQ claims communications are "strictly private ... advanced encryption". I'd take the claim as intent rather than proof, since no detail is given.

I'd still keep anything personal out of the chat. A policy that deletes data once it is no longer needed leaves the company to decide when that moment comes.

Complaints

A complaints and content removal portal runs at complaints.dreamgf.ai. I think that is the most useful address on the whole site. It is the place for anything in the content section that bothers you.

The table under this section sums up each clause in one line.

Four days is a long time to wait while a bill you didn't understand keeps running. I've had faster replies from brides three weeks before their wedding, and they had better excuses.

That is the continuity error I'd flag in any edit. Read literally, it tells a monthly buyer they signed up for a quarterly bill. I think this explains a lot about why DreamGF's pricing reads like a puzzle.

The price list that won't agree with itself

Pricing and token information is inconsistent across pages: the current plans, the FAQ tiers and the Membership Policy token costs all say different things. Clicking "How billing works" opens a new tab, so comparing the pages means juggling tabs.

Several expected pages are missing. The addresses /faq, /premium, /privacy and /refund-policy return a 404 error; the terms sit at /terms and the privacy policy at /privacy-policy. A missing refund page on a site with a strict refund policy is an unlucky gap.

I'd call this maintenance debt. Nobody set out to confuse buyers, but nobody has cleaned up either, and the customer pays for the mess in re-reading time.

The guest wall

Sending a message as a guest immediately opens a "CREATE ACCOUNT FOR FREE" wall. So a guest never sees a single bot reply before signing up. I'd call that a showroom with the cars under covers.

It matters for anyone deciding whether to sign up. The only way to judge the chat is to hand over an email address first, so the free trial is the real demo and the guest page is a poster.

My own line is simpler. If you'd rather read a pricing page once and understand it, look elsewhere.

I'd point the patient type toward the annual plan and the impatient type toward the door. The app rewards people who read slowly, plan ahead and set reminders, and it punishes impulse buys harder than most.

For an app like this, that is not a small thing. It is the difference between a private hobby and a family meeting.

How I cancelled

I cancelled at the three-month mark, right before Christmas, and set my own calendar alarm for it. It's the same trick I use for my van registration. Any bill that renews without asking gets a calendar alarm, and the van and DreamGF ended up in the same folder.

It felt good to be done before the holidays. A bill I didn't fully understand was not a present I wanted to keep giving myself.

The wording of that lock-in is blunt: "you will not be able to cancel your membership for the next 30 days". I'd skip the offer. A hundred bonus tokens is not worth a month of lost freedom to leave.

Where it falls behind is the conversation. Apps built around the chat first give a reader more depth per dollar, and DreamGF's scripted replies would not hold up in that company.
